While I don't like that WSW was sort of having an emotional affair with WZ during this time, I kind of get why he was because he felt CC pulling away from him.....but he didn't know that the reason CC was treating him differently was actually because he was keeping WSW's mother's illness a secret.
There is also the scene where WSW suspects that WS and CC secretly are meeting for a hookup, and WSW follows him. CC was really just picking up some stuff and WS followed him there and forcefully kissed CC. WSW doesn't see the kiss, but hears WS say that 'CC still tastes the same'. And another scene from WSW POV, they're all at the clinic and he is standing in the rain watching WS leave in CC's car...and WSW thinks CC just left him there in the rain while he took off with his ex....the realty was that WS took off with CC's car, and CC left for an emergency that he's been keeping from WSW.
It is 283 chapters, but the chapters are short. Took me less than a week. Just if you do.....go into it knowing it has ALL the TW. Even the author herself tells people not to read it.
Oh that..... Wu is out for revenge against his former employer who is trying to bribe him and tasks his mistress to seduce Wu....Both Wu and CC are aware of what she is trying to do and are actively trapping Wu's ex-employer to turn him over to the authorities for illegal activities. I don't remember what the chapters were, but its after CC and Wu reconcile. Wu never does anything with her or to her, and CC knows its happening...but Wu does get a physical reaction from her constant flirting....CC is initially okay with everything as he tells Guo that Wu deserves to seek revenge. But Guo gets in CC's head that Wu might be enjoying the attention from the woman a little too much....so CC storms into the office to 'catch them' and 'reminds' Wu he wasn't supposed to take it too far. Later Wu admits to himself that he thinks that his arousal had nothing to do with her at all, but actually his desire to get revenge.
To be clear, that was that situation. In the book, Wu has very low self-esteem, and has never really been pursued by anyone with genuine interest (YY was a user). So he tends to lose his head anytime someone gives him attention. It seems the drama is leaving it out, but there was thing in the book where Wu takes a trip, a girl on the plane hits on him, and shocked he gives her, his number when she asks. She follows him on social media and immediately invites him to coffee. He doesn't follow her back and only responds to her invite ambiguously, but he does show up for coffee after his meeting unexpectedly gets canceled. It never goes beyond that and Wu blocks her, but it is a huge fight between him and CC, because the girl secretly takes a picture of Wu and posts it online with the caption that she 'found her mr. right' and it gets forwarded to CC.....Then there is a whole thing with Wang Shuo's brother, Wang Zhen. The guy is like James Bond, and Wu is in awe of him and calls Wang Zhen his 'idol'. Admittedly, he is attracted to the guy and it appears that WZ is hitting on him.... he has no desire to cheat on CC, but there is some other things going on, and Wu thinks CC is cheating on him with WS....so he decides to make it appear like there is more going on between him and WZ then there really is because 'If he hates me, it will be easier for him to break up with me.' because Wu actually cannot bring himself to confront CC or leave CC if he is cheating......which he is not, but the evidence does look like he is.....Throughout the series, what something appears to be vs what it ends up really being, is a repeated storyline.
no and no. He doesn’t do anything with her and he’s not into her, but she is constantly trying to touch him. She is gorgeous and knows exactly how to seduce someone.... Wu is out for revenge, CC knows he is doing it and helping him do it. ...and letting her attempt to seduce him is part of it. I will also add that later, Wu does think that it was the thought of the revenge that was actually what got him excited, not the woman.
Cc is just smart and sees through a lot of his behavior. But he fell in love anyway. He’s always known Wu approached him with a motive but wasn’t sure what....
Not really cheating, he's just a horn dog that gets excited whenever someone gives him attention. But there is a plot with a 'PA' he 'hires'. He knows she is someone else's mistress that was set up to seduce him. He knows that is what she is doing, CC knows about her being hired too. It's part of a revenge plot. He is actually, initially grossed out by her and wanted her gone, but her constantly trying to touch him and seduce him, does get a physical reaction out of him. CC is initially fine with it, but ChengYu puts doubts in his head about how far Wu has taken the flirting....so he storms into the office and 'reminds' Wu he wasn't supposed to take his flirting too far.
It wasn't exactly like that. He 'hires' a PA he knows is someone else's mistress that was set up to seduce him. He knows that is what she is doing, CC knows about her being hired too. It's part of a revenge plot. He is actually, initially grossed out by her and wanted her gone, but her constantly trying to touch him and seduce him, does get a physical reaction out of him. CC: What?
Gang: Nothing....
