He knows she is someone else's mistress that was set up to seduce him. He knows that is what she is doing, CC knows about her being hired too. It's part of a revenge plot. He is actually, initially grossed out by her and wanted her gone, but her constantly trying to touch him and seduce him, does get a physical reaction out of him. CC is initially fine with it, but ChengYu puts doubts in his head about how far Wu has taken the flirting....so he storms into the office and 'reminds' Wu he wasn't supposed to take his flirting too far.

He was just aiming for it because he is just that good. But the symbolism is there. His contempt for families like the Liu family, he also was really aiming for their downfall.

The ornament is supposed to bring prosperity and wealth. He was outwardly looking too drunk and like he can't defend himself, while actually targeting the Liu's family prosperity charm.

Although Ning was older, more than likely he was born from a lower status concubine. Even if San Lang was born after him, if he was born of the Empress or a higher ranking consort, his claim to the throne supersedes his brothers.

For me, its his character. I want to like him....but he is someone that enjoys causing drama and gossiping....and at the expense of someone he cares about.....and I cannot stand characters like that....Who needs enemies when you have friends who take pride in causing problems in your relationships? It probably will get left out of the show, but there are multiple times in the novel that Shaui does this for kicks.

Honestly, if I hadn't known it was all filmed at once.... I would've thought s1 and 2 had been filmed a year apart, with a new crew, and no one watched s2 before filming.
