The ornament is supposed to bring prosperity and wealth. He was outwardly looking too drunk and like he can't…
He was just aiming for it because he is just that good. But the symbolism is there. His contempt for families like the Liu family, he also was really aiming for their downfall.
I think i've missed something. Anyone please explain these for me - why did jcy purposely shoot arrow at liuchang's…
The ornament is supposed to bring prosperity and wealth. He was outwardly looking too drunk and like he can't defend himself, while actually targeting the Liu's family prosperity charm. We don't know where the bird went. Probably at Fragrance Garden. Although Ning was older, more than likely he was born from a lower status concubine. Even if San Lang was born after him, if he was born of the Empress or a higher ranking consort, his claim to the throne supersedes his brothers.
He also admitted taking pride in sabotaging their relationship a few times.....and thought it was good fun to instigate WZ into calling Wu in front of CC, which led to CC choking Wu into near unconsciousness.
For me, its his character. I want to like him....but he is someone that enjoys causing drama and gossiping....and at the expense of someone he cares about.....and I cannot stand characters like that....Who needs enemies when you have friends who take pride in causing problems in your relationships? It probably will get left out of the show, but there are multiple times in the novel that Shaui does this for kicks.
This season really feels like the showrunners said 'How can we get 2 seasons out of this?'
Honestly, if I hadn't known it was all filmed at once.... I would've thought s1 and 2 had been filmed a year apart, with a new crew, and no one watched s2 before filming.
Don't be afraid. I look at it as a final hurdle to get to the good stuff (relationship wise between the leads).…
if the roles were reversed, do you think she would’ve stood by and let someone kill someone that helped raise her? and if she did kill Wu, what about the kids he is taking care of? their orphans, if he dies who is stepping up to raise them? They’ll probably end up on the streets. Don’t their lives matter? And if they decide they have a right pursue justice down the road for having their only caretaker taken from them, is that okay? JCY stopped Mudan from committing murder. He was right to do so…. and Mudan was right to be angry and leave. but his actions are not unforgivable and it doesn’t ruin their relationship. … though I think the whole plot was stupid.
Gang to Chi: I think Wu is shady and has ulterior motives. We shouldn't trust him. Chi to Gang: I'm not stupid, I know he is. Keep your opinions to yourself. 5 minutes later.... Wu to Gang: Hey can you help me do something shady to get Chi's ex out of the picture? Gang: I take back everything I said. You two are going to be together forever.
