Right! I'm glad that I already know that in College, she is much more assertive about not going when she doesn't want to go somewhere. And that, those friends appear to respect that boundary....I also like that for the most part she doesn't act shameless around DJX, but reserved. That's how I was around my crush in high school too.

I also find her very relatable because she doesn't like going out, or partying. As much as I don't like her crappy high school friends, even that felt like a bit of a realistic dynamic, because the introverts is always 'the bad friend' when they don't let their extroverted friends drag them all over the place to places that are too peopley, loud and noisy, and don't want to go to. Also....'Its my birthday, could you not reject me on my birthday?'...well why'd you ask on your birthday dude? That ain't her fault.

I actually really like SZ. I think that she is a more introverted lead. So often introverted book characters are turned into extroverts for movies/shows, so I'm appreciating that they didn't do that with her. My only complaint, since I read part 1 on the novel, is that the show does seem to make her less snarky. I've watched through episode 4, and I think that its clear that DJX already cares about her very much. Not an 'in love with you' kind of care, but it falls somewhere between that brotherly and friendly affection. I think its coming though that his life is tough, and that she is already one of the few bright spots in his life that give him happiness.

Interestingly, I started the book. When FZC asks her why she didn't pay attention to lecture, she says 'Its too easy. I didn't want to.'....and she was ranked 1st on their last exam.

I've only finished episode 2, and I already don't like her best friend that keeps trying to get her to go to places she don't want to go.

The period scene. I laughed at the boys being so clueless. 'There are sizes?' .... and kind of cried for her, because I remember moments like that and it is so embarrassing.

I mean....how is this different than 75% of the other romances where its the kid sister and the brothers best friend......It's a popular trope.

Episode 1: Did she switch the books on purpose or by accident? I don't get the impression that he thinks anything more of her than as the kid sister of a friend, who he's quite impressed by her ability to get her way...yet.

I caved...the general impression I get from her as a 14 yr old kid, is that she actually is very smart and therefore bored easily by her classes so she doesn't apply herself. I knew kids like that in school who would get average grades because they weren't challenged enough so they didn't bother.

Haven't started watching yet, but caught a one of the new clips on TIKTOK and let me say that I just love that he figured out she has feelings for him and instead of going 'Hey I like you too, lets do this.' He decides she deserves to be shown he cares about her romantically before asking her out....I also love that I caught the drunk clip and know that at least 3-4 months have past since being reunited and the drunk scene to show that they are taking the time to develop their friendship before dating.

You sound like me....lol. Right now I've managed to hold off. I told myself, if I managed to wait till this weekend, then I can watch 2 episodes a day and finish about the same time the last episode drops....but I know myself, I won't stop at 2 episodes on Saturday, I'll binge all released episodes between sat-sun if I start watching.

I'm glad he sees he needs to put in some work to show her that she is not like everyone else, to him. Since she said he treats her the same way he treats everyone.
