I feel like that for a lot of shows/movies...like you know there is always at least once scene where the actor is like 'I have to say what?'

I feel like since they filmed a scene where she was trying to take his pants off....that the kissing must be more of a choice so the 'slow burn' effect or because one or both actors are uncomfortable with a deeper kiss....

The 'I'm a man, I might loose control' scene? I don't know if he was trying to feel out her real intent or he was teasing her.

I think her mother is bitter about how her own life turned out. I think she isn't seeing that her husband's and JSC job are not the same. He was in the military and likely gone for months at a time in a place she couldn't go. JSC's job takes him away for at most days at a time and XL can still see him during that time. Its also clear that neither of her parents are aware of how often he's saved her from dangerous situations she's gotten in because of her own job.

So now we know their only 4 years apart in the drama.

He was a goner, pretty early on.

I can't help but bring this up, because I find it funny....but back in the episode where they were starting their exam, YY: announces cheating means immediate disqualification from the test....Also YY: gives WZ some of his power and teaches her a protection spell he hadn't taught anyone else yet, so she doesn't get hurt in the exam.

This drama would be a lot shorter if they just ran away together...lol.....I think CY/YY's biggest shortcoming is not a lack of care or heart or belief in what is right, but his blind fealty to those who have power over him. It's really through his love of her, that he tries to break free of that.

Still working my way through the endless abyss of the flashback.....I know a lot of people are hating on CY for what he did, and I'm not gonna say it wasn't horrible....but I get it. He was raised and trained to hate them, but even early on he voices his opinions against war. Especially as he falls in love with her and befriends many of the soldiers it becomes clear that he actually hates what he is doing. Not to mention he was giving away his entire salary to help his friends and support refugees.....Not that it excuses what he did...but I guess I just can't hate him for it.

I'm confused about something, some of the dialogue makes it sound like he's had to kill her multiple times.....but there is only one flashback sequence?

I'm on the flashback right now and before the flashbacks YY's internal dialogue before going to 'kill her' was something to the tune of 'This time maybe I have a chance'.....with all his memories unlocked, I'm wondering if he had a plan before and it failed.

On the flashback....so.....Chen Yun's big dastardly deed is that he was a spy for another country, and he fell in love with her and had to choose between duty to his own country and his love for her?

That is actually what she and JSC are 'fighting about'. Huo's fake gf told her everything and when she told JSC, she found out he already knew and admitted that he worked with Huo to 'deceive' her and tried to let Huo be there for her bc he felt he couldn't protect her. She is angry at JSC for treating her like a thing to be passed off to another man and accused him of not respecting her enough to let her make her own choice.

Kind of wondering if the real reason The Heavenly Emperor keeps taking his memories is so YY doesn't have the chance to spend thousands of years trying to to figure out a way to save her and ultimately come to the conclusion that his dad his trash.

Watching episode 17, why do I feel like YY knew they were going to be able to stop him when he 'tried' to kill her the first time?

Is it safe to trust Minglang? Was his only slip up that one moment when he didn't stand up for her or is he out to get her?
