I have seen that interview . So I understand where you are coming from.

I won't question her choices because thats isn't really in fans hands she as an actor and her team would always try to choose the best projects.

It's just seeing that the recent project has delayed her by so many months did worry many fans about that show plus the production being never really heard for any shows before did spread panic among the fans.

But I am sure most of us fans are supportive of her.

C entertainment melons are sometimes even more ridiculous than kpop scandals its chaotic there sometimes .
I wonder why their C melons/ gossiping reminds of the toxic hollywood paparazzi era .

Thats sounds bad why do they want to invest in all of her dramas doesn't that mean she won't have much of a choice in what project she can choose.

Shen Yin has two arcs for her character I don't want to spoil it but she won't remain in a naive state for all parts of the story its crucial to the story that she has the naive baby stage becase she is a baby beast in the beginning hence her innocentstate ( she is a strong immortal beast ) in the start of the story and then the later part is where she has a certain evolution that is necessary and isn’t that sweet or innocent anymore .

I know this because I have read the novel from which this drama is adapted .Albeit the novel I believe is a bigger tragedy than the drama would be . I heard they have changed the ending .

So this isn't a drama like gen z or HL.

But yes her baby immortal beast growing to be a really strong immortal would be I believe a major part of the story.

But another reason I believe she is doing sweet innocent girl roles is from a business perspective the productions/investors want to get more profits from their projects and they see that her sweet cute roles dramas are a big success so I guess she mostly receives scripts of such dramas and she must be typecasted to an extent .

After all unlike K entertainment where actors have freedom to choose projects despite it being risky and of a different genre , C entertainment is different plus it seems her company always invests in her dramas so I am guessing they wouldn't currently let her choose roles that would be too different from her current image that is mostly successful.

Her new drama Pearl curtain script is completely different type I believe her role is not sweet cute type there.


About her voice though I do share the same wish I want her to get an excellent voice acting coach . Someone who will really help her develop her accent and voice so that she doesn’t need to be dubbed by her VA like what happened to WRTW and TLB.

I adore her and she has grown so much from her first drama she has only been doing better . But her voice acting is a department that definitely needs more boosting . I hope her team can notice this and help her with it.

Unfortunately there is no English subtitles but we are getting a teaser of some sorts I guess.

The trailer release makes me believe the drama might be released at the end of this year or beginning of next year.

From the first impressions I can feel there is going to be some sad arcs 🤧 in the story.

While I watch many movies and dramas I have never adored or loved any of my favorite actors like I adore Lusi she is very special to me so I tend to worry a lot more about her projects than some of my other fav actors.

Yeah sometimes I forget she is only 24 (I feel older than her despite being 22 😅) I think definitely maybe in the next few years she might get a chance to work with Iqiyi and other good productions.

Thank you I always wished they only showed confirmed projects of Lusi here to avoid unnecessary expectations , confusion and chaos .

Oh hearing that does dampen my hopes of seeing her in an Iqiyi drama no shade to other platforms but sometimes I enjoy Iqiyi's production and stories a little more.

She has lots of fans there especially due to her series Who rules the world its one of her most hit series among Thai fans according to what I have seen and heard, even today many WRTW shorts can be seen in You Tube.

Thank you for sharing this information no wonder she was having a long waiting period before pearl curtain drama , I hope she is doing better now.

Does this mean that she really cannot take any IQiyi projects as long as she is with youku that's pretty sad though IQiYi produces some of the most beautiful Historical and fantasy dramas it would be great if one day she could work there.

Its alright to have those expectations and its also alright to be realistic and honest about what we want .I was really excited for Pearl curtain because the story is ADOS level but hearing about the production and direction does slightly dampen what I wished it would become.

I think even if pearl curtain is not upto par.

Shen Yin (The last immortal) will probably make up for it hopefully. Because I have seen the wrap up episode on tencent and also heard this is dubbed with Lusi's own voice I expect this to be a good drama.

My personal favourite for history is LLTG (its the best period drama of Lusi for me along with TLB ) . Even in TLB she was really good.

Unfortunately I think we would have to wait some time (if pearl curtain does indeed end up having some issue's. I still hope it can turn out to be better) before a LLTG quality historical drama comes from her hopefully she can have less controversial and more smooth sailing projects in the future.(I am wondering why this happens to her , WRTW , even TROTAR had some issue's despite it being a success Lusi had lots of trouble there too )

And all this while the main reason I wish she would do an Iqiyi drama is they have mostly better stories and production , variety and originality compared to the other two platforms , I hope she is not restricted by any contracts to be choosing only tencent or Youku projects .

Has the all the crew and cast aside Lusi really been confirmed or is this some off the road rumors ?
I hope its rumor's Lusi had had enough troubles in the past (director issues) with some older dramas in the past already now that she is in a better position I hope she doesn't suffer again.

Okay , I had watched legend of Fuyao and felt it was pretty good as for romance of twin flower watched it here and there not completely so I didn't catch any of those flaws. There is some controversies surrounding this project already even before it started shooting I hope its rumors and not really what is happening its disheartening to see Lusi take a hit due to any such matters.

I saw the pictures of the drama that you mentioned is their most famous drama produced Liu Shui tiao tiao , atleast a shallow perspective from the pictures are its not too bad of a production from the costumes , make up hairstyles and the sets they have used.
