Mu Zhengyang wanted for Nie Hengcheng to complete the Zhiwei Method, which required the Jade Sunflower. The sooner the better, since he would die soon after mastering the method. Lu Chengnan taking it away ruined the plan (beside angered NHC). IMHO.
