I really like how the characters are written and delivered in this drama. Xie Zheng was so in love with Changyu and would do anything to be with her. The word divorce can even hurt him a lot. That is how much he loved her. But Xie Zheng was never a simp, and as different as he was to her, he was still Marquis Wu'an, the commander of his army. He knew that Changyu just wanted to be helpful, as she always did, but she made a move that involved the soldiers, and took the key person out of his imprisonment. She was lucky that the Sui general thought that it was part of Zheng's plan. With just 800 soldiers against the Sui batalions, a single fault could cost Xie's whole army.
Xie Zheng could not punish the woman he loved and no one on the rank would dare touching even a single hair of her but she needed to know that every single thing in the military must be based on orders and anyone at fault must face consequences. Making himself take the punishment was both for letting her learn the lesson and for others to know that a mistake was punishable, no matter who the perpetrator was. IMHO.
Only Jisoo harem drama π€£ beat PoJ!(Itβs really crazy how many popular actors are in the Jisoo drama; kudos…
Okay. Thanks for the info. I think I will just wait for Perfect Crown to air and for now, watching and rewatching this drama is my whole internet life βΊοΈ

Is it good? I tried episode 1 but could not connect. I have not watched any Kdramas after Go Younjung & Kim Seonho and am waiting for IU and Byeon Wooseok's drama
Pursuit of Jade rose to as high as number 2 on Netflix Korea's overall drama ranking (excluding English-language dramas), becoming the first Chinese historical drama to enter the top three of the list. https://m.weibo.cn/detail/5277416475069460
Congrats to Zhang Linghe, Tian Xiwei, Director and all team ππ»π₯π Well deserved!
Xie Zheng keeping his identity a secret from Changyu was wrong and he also knew that.
From his own POV: She so openly laid her heart bare before me, yet I still had things hidden from her; I had wronged her. The blood feud remained unresolved, the past unresolved, and it would be wrong to drag her into it again. I didn't want to keep it from her, but I had no choice. I only hoped to make a decision soon and find the right time to tell her everything.
Love will prevails. He deserved some slaps, and a kiss will bring them back together. 1 more episode today. We can do it!!
It's not so much being dumb as not having enough information to make a better decision. She is in the dark about…
??? You said "She's not in the dark about who the Strategist is and his role in the war. She's very clear on that." So I answered with "Because a soldier clearly called Gongsun Yin Strategist, or she would still be in the dark."
In the previous comment you said "then they are making her into a pretty, dummy who can't think her way out of a paper bag. It's just a strange way to write a character when we are over half way through the series and expecting some level of growth." Then cjspock replied with "It's not so much being dumb..."
I said she was clueless for things she never experienced before but was not (never) dumb

Changyu might be clueless but was not dumb. It made sense that she did not know many things she never knew before but she caught on pretty quick with a little thing she saw. Gongsun Yin wore different outfit and had his own big tent, so he was obviously important. Xie Zheng was 'safe' only because he was in the tent with others. IMO.
1 episode that lasted for 2 hours, since I rewatched and rewatched the scenes in this very entertaining episode. Xie Zheng being dramatic, Changyu being clueless yet cute, Gongsun Yin still awkwardly expressed the words he meant to be honest yet backfired, the courageous princess who clearly went there for the man she loved but did not let him know and the Xie Zheng's subordinates who went along with his lies.
2 episodes per day would be perfect but with such an endearing episode, the waiting really paid off.
Why is Xie Zheng so triggered with the "D" word when he used a fake identity to get married? Doesn't that…
When it came to marriage, Xie Zheng conveniently forgot that he used fake identity, and when it came to the divorce, he used that fake identity to invalidate the divorce ππ€£
I assume you did not notice that the series of photos from Deng Kai's Weibo page were from last year, so it means that someone else had uploaded them before. I also wanted to post them before, then I saw the posted date. This is one of the photos you double posted. https://kisskh.at/photos/KpJ6R4_3
