Yes, I agree with you. Unfortunately, there’s no equality in this regard, and you can really feel it. The MLs act like they’re not real men or lovers who can speak freely without being afraid of losing the FL if they say something she doesn’t like. So they always say the “right” thing and do the “right” thing.

That’s why we see fans calling them “green forests” simply because they never argue with the FL or have different opinions from her and even when they do have their own opinions, they eventually change them just to be with the FL, even with something big like getting married and having children . 🙂🙃

Yes, I noticed. In my opinion, they want to show it as a romantic gesture, but it's really about putting men below women, on their knees. Even the marriage proposal is like that.

And I think you noticed how they make FLs slap MLs every time MLs do something wrong, and no one says anything about it, as if it's a normal thing to do. MLs don't say anything, and FLs never apologize for it, like she's his parent disciplining him. But if the ML does that, it's always melodrama or a dark plot about the ML being a red flag and a scumbag 🙃. Even in melodramas, it's rare to see an ML slap the FL and then have her be the one apologizing instead of him.

And you will also notice how FLs don't apologize. If you've watched Turkish series, this is a crazy cliché. Even if the FL killed his family, she would never apologize 😂. Slapping the ML is much easier and more normal in those waste-of-time shows. 🙁

Yes, I can see they have a good reason for him to have been single his whole life here. And there's another trope, if you noticed, in this drama: she teases him throughout the whole drama, and he can't do or say anything about it, so he just tolerates it.

And even if they want to make it comedic, when he proposed and said, "I'm sorry, I'm not your ideal man," I cringed. I found it humiliating for a man to say that, especially when he did for her what no one did but still he sees himself not worthy of her and she deserves her dream man so he apologizin for it . So he has to do more and give more because she lowered her standards, and she did him a favor to accept him, and one annoying thing in most romance kdrama is fl don't do anything to make him that deep in love with her but still you see men around her all falling like autumn🍁🍂🍂 😅😂, but it's women times now because they watch this the most like in anime, and action movies, it's reversed as boys watching it more, but they really make mls in centric fl dramas just a little toy to please fls, unfortunately,

Yes, unfortunately, it's the trend. I only mentioned SK because we're talking about a Korean drama, but it's even worse in C-dramas. And the West is a lost cause at this point. 😂 They do even crazier stuff, like accepting cheating, blaming the victim, and finding excuses for the cheater. There are even movies where they make the husband help his wife deal with her cheating partner, and worse.

And unfortunately, it's coming to South Korean series too. We're going to see more dramas about cheating, angsty love triangles, and characters falling for as many people as possible in one drama. 😂

Why do they always portray their men as the most pure and innocent ones when it’s the opposite in real life!? Is this some kind of propaganda to mislead women or what? If that's what you understood from what I wrote, then unfortunately you misunderstood it badly my point has never been about hating women It's about writers who constantly humiliate men through the way they write relationships.

Was anything I said about this drama false? Doesn't she slap him whenever she feels like it? Is pointing that out "hating women"? Or is it that the writers normalize abuse toward men while the ML can't even think about slapping her back, even when she makes bigger mistakes than he does?

And that's just one example, there are so many double standards. Male leads are constantly written as simps just because they fall in love, while female leads often don't care about the ML's feelings whenever those feelings conflict with what they want. I'm criticizing the writers, not women. Characters are fictional they reflect the writers' ideas, not real women.

In C-dramas, the FL often has a crowd of men falling for her like leaves in autumn. Writers also flipped old gender roles. When women did all the cooking and housework, it was called oppression and a red flag because men didn't help. But now when the ML cooks, cleans, and does everything while the FL can't even boil an egg, it's suddenly considered cute and romantic instead of a red flag that's the kind of inconsistency I'm talking about.

My issue isn't with women, It's with writers who create unbalanced relationships where men exist only to serve, sacrifice, and constantly prove themselves while expecting little or nothing from the FL in return.

There are countless other examples. When an ML makes a mistake even if it's a misunderstanding, like rejecting the FL's confession , he spends half the drama apologizing, chasing her, and suffering until she accepts him. But when the FL rejects the ML dozens of times, he keeps chasing her anyway, and everyone calls it romantic. If the roles were reversed and the FL had to chase him for that long after she did a big mistake as what they write mo did , people would call her a doormat with no self-respect. Why isn't she called romantic too? Why is only the man's pursuit celebrated when he's wrong or not?? And why being traditional here is celebrated till this day but not when it's women turn to be traditional!? ( I'm talking about writers and fans who wants traditional things only wbeyits men who shoutdo it not when it's women!!!)everything traditional about women they make it look bad of she doing it, but everything traditional about men of he didn't do it it's looks bad and they call him red flag!? This what I call the toxic feminisem, nor the good feminisem who wants equality ( that's what I also want and repeat writing about it as much as I can, because men in cdrama never equal to fls unfortunately except some dramas.) 

Then there's another common trope: the ML is often inexperienced, while the FL has an ex or emotional baggage from a previous relationship. The ML has to accept it, help her heal, fight her ex, and compete with the second male lead for her love. That's another example of how writers often make the ML endure everything.

One of my favorite C-drama couples actually has the ML doing everything for the FL, even washing her feet but I love that relationship because she genuinely loves and respects him too. She gives back just as much that's what I want: balance and equality . Not one person doing all the work while the other is simply admired.( road home cdrama) 

Again, this isn't about hating women. It's about criticizing writers who repeatedly create one-sided relationships because that's what a large part of the audience enjoys. I rarely see people talking about "green flag" female leads. It's almost always the ML or the second ML being praised as green flags because they're endlessly patient and self-sacrificing.( the lighter and princess fl was a green flag fl with the green flag mls standards that viewers talk about) 

Unfortunately, most people I discuss this with don't seem interested in the imbalance itself. They simply enjoy seeing men do more, suffer more, and make fools of themselves for love, Many even cheer when an FL slaps the ML. But the moment you suggest that, by the same logic, she would deserve the same treatment after doing something similar, suddenly you're called abusive misogynist 🙃🙃🙃

That's the double standard I'm criticizing. Is that really about hating women!? Far from it.

With others, yes, he uses his authority, and I'm sure he'll keep using it. But with the FL? I could easily bet my house that he'll only keep lowering himself for her until the very end, taking the full simp route with no brakes. 😅😂 He hasn't even fallen in love with her yet, and he's already letting her disrespect him and act like he's nothing special. Believe me, no one loves a strong ML more than I do, but unfortunately, nowadays it's either simps or scumbag red flags. We almost never get a strong, masculine man with dignity, self-respect, important responsibilities, and dreams of his own someone whose entire personality doesn't change the moment he falls in love. Instead, he becomes a toy whose only purpose is to please the FL, support her, make her happy, and help her achieve her goals.
It's been years since I've seen an ML like that. And it's not just C-dramas to be honest also K-dramas and Turkish dramas have the same problem, if not worse, as for Western shows... they've taken the "simp" trope to monster levels. 😂😂

Not just Prince. Another C-drama that's airing right now has the potential to turn the emperor into another mega simp. The FL doesn't even respect his position and acts like she's his equal, even though she only benefits from his status, She does it in front of other people too, not just when they're alone.

The crazy thing is that she respects her senior (sml) more than the emperor, even though he's the one helping her and the one who saved her in the past (she still doesn't know that) but I bet that when she finds out, she'll just say "thank you" and move on. If it were the SML instead, C-drama FLs would go out of their way to repay him and do everything they could to help him.

But when it's the ML, she acts as if helping her is just normal and here's another cliché: the double standard when an ML finds out that the FL saved or helped him in the past, he becomes completely devoted to her and often turns into a simp, But FLs almost never react the same way. 🙂🙂

Some writers and fans seem to think that, for a female lead to be "strong and independent," she has to be rude to the emperor and never do anything that might look like she's lowering herself. 🙃

If writers didn't turn male leads into simps with no personality, many of these FLs would realistically get punished for repeatedly disrespecting the most powerful man in the empire, and not fall in love with them and give them more, and what crazy is when it's reversed you see mls knel as normal and respect fls as the hierarchy tells .

And let's be honest, without mls , many of them wouldn't have achieved half of what they did.

I also noticed that a lot of these FLs keep using the ML's power, influence, and protection but rarely show genuine appreciation. They'll say they're independent even when the ML literally saved their life or gave them opportunities that would have taken years to earn , or that they might have died trying to obtain on their own.

Then, in the end, the hero who saved her is the one who apologizes to her, starts worshipping her because she once did him a small favor,

And here we go again the ML falls first, becomes insecure and jealous, lets her do whatever she wants, spends all his time helping her achieve her dreams, and by the end, it feels like he'd happily make her the empress while he becomes her consort. 😂
