I bet he'll end up being just as much of a simp as the others once he falls for her. That's the cliché in C-dramas these days. At first, the ML looks like everything an emperor or prince should be powerful, intelligent, and dignified. But the moment he falls in love, everything changes. His only job becomes chasing after her, acting jealous, and behaving silly just to please her, hoping she'll spare him a little time from all the "more important" things in her life.

Men in C-dramas are basically second-class citizens now. 😂😂 Reverse harems have become the norm, even in historical settings where the exact opposite would have been the norm.

I've also noticed that the less personality or dignity an ML has in front of the FL he loves, the more fans call him "the standard." (The standard for simps. 😂)

At the same time, the colder and more indifferent the FL is toward men, the more viewers seem to love her. They enjoy watching the ML suffer, chase her endlessly, while a bunch of other simps compete for her attention.

Almost every episode, she's surrounded by another guy trying to win her over. They all get their turn to save her and play the hero, but in the end she chooses the ML—who, even if he's a prince, spends most of the drama acting like a loyal puppy, hoping for the smallest bit of affection in return. 😅 this was the plot of a recent cdrama ended couple of days ago 😅😂

and a PhD in how to make men simps without dignity , that love a woman that reject them many times and an ml simp that tolerate all that and just get jealous and can't say anything because she don't give a dam about his feelings , and fight with his brother and her ex husband and his brother and every man saw her fall in love so he has to low himself and act as a dog to get her attention and at the end she start like him because he's a good boy 😂😅😅😂

Is it really enjoyable to watch a couple of simps fighting over one cold-hearted woman while the ML is insecure, jealous, and forced to tolerate everything because he can't do anything about it?

Now imagine the opposite: a bunch of simp women fighting over one ML while he doesn't give a damn about them, stays cold-hearted, and directly or indirectly takes advantage of their love for his own benefit. Then one or two of them die because they couldn't have him, and the one who finally ends up with him has to do everything in the relationship while he just relaxes because he has "more important things" to do. She's basically his reward for all the hardships he went through in the past, and he doesn't even really like her until two-thirds of the drama is over. 😂😂😂😂

I'd bet my house that it would become one of the lowest-rated dramas. 😅

and ml has to deal with the jealousy and tolerate being in second or third on her priority list, don't ask much from her because she gave everything for her ex-husband and she's don't need him he needs her so he has to do everything and wait for his chance 🙂 and he has to do everything in the relationship later also because she also did that once for her ex, so it's ml's turn even when it's not his fault , and act as proud because he get a scratch from her , when she did that for her ex husband more 🙃 waw, what a love story 🙃🙃🙂 and they don't make fl, as you said, cringey and cutesy, but they change it to ml, so he's the one who plays that role in a slightly different way, but still he's just a support character whose whole role is to love fl and die trying to make her give him a chance, and he competes with many other men she keeps around, in a way. 😅

How ml change from red flag being a simp without dignity, running after fl because he fall in love!? Is not he was in love from start!? And I said it: writers in cdrama world always make mls suffer because of fl past emotional baggage, and he should be a simp, doing everything and loving her unconditionally so she give him a small chance to prove himself more, while she don't even like him till the last third of the drama. 😅😂 While in past she was doing everything for her ex who betrayed her love, so ml should suffer because of her ex even when ml didn't do anything bad. And her love for him at the end is just a one-sided relationship, and she chooses the one who benefits her very well, and she don't care if he's in her life or not because she don't need anyone, she's that independent. And if he's around, it's okay, she can give him some time. 😂😅😅

In this kind of drama, the last thing you can see is fl love ml even one third as much as he love her or do anything in the relationship. It's all on him to make the relationship work. Unfortunately, no equality, like in anime where mc have a harem of simp fls that fall in love with one look from him and have no dignity, except anime is just anime, but this should be real to a degree. So why they make mls simps without dignity? All their role is to fall in love with the independent, strong, smart, undisputed fl, the one no one come near because she's perfect all around. 😅😂😂 Like mcs of anime exactly.

what you expect from mls in this kind of cdramas!!? they only compete who's more simp not about anything else, I said it couple of days ago mls I'm cdramas are support characters that not even have deep role than fl ex or other love interest as sml, mls only fall in love after it their life become how they get fl accept them and tolerate everything she doing even if it's make him. suffering he will accept it, and especially in this reverse harem that fl ruthless and cold you see potential being with many men not only ml but because he's the simp he will win at the end when she start like him a little, she even saved her ex what do you waiting more😅😂😂😂

In novels, the male leads also have some dignity and masculinity, at the bare minimum. But in C-dramas, they change it, and write male leads into supporting characters whose only goal is to fall in love with the female lead, love her unconditionally, and do everything for her. That's it. Meanwhile, the female leads get revenge arcs, past relationship trauma, or dreams of becoming independent businesswomen. Unfortunately, I can't remember a recent costume C-drama where the female lead loved the male lead as much as he loved her. Maybe I watched some in the past, but in recent years it's mostly been one-sided love for two-thirds of the drama, and then in the last third she decides she likes him because he did so much for her or because he's not like her ex. 🙃

Ah, C-drama writers still haven't changed much. 🙃 The FL's ex is still around, he's her boss, she's always with him, and the ML has to deal with it and tolerate everything. Meanwhile, the ML's ex doesn't even show up—she's only mentioned. 😅🙃🙃

And the worst part is when they write the FL as not caring about how much he's suffering because of how close she is to her boss, while she keeps making him jealous.
