So, while I'd like to think, based on the previous teaser glimpses, that on hearing Haishi was captured, rushing to her side, and watching over her while she recovered, that Jianming is finally willing to take things to the next step and that's why he got all in her personal space and asked her if she knew what the red candles symbolised ...
...I can't help thinking the production team are deliberately screwing with us with the teasers, so, here's an alternate that I'm thinking might be likely...
...the maiden of those wandering Jiaman tribespeople who are treated as two-legged sheep is actually one of their nobles or holy maidens or whatever. When Haishi tries to warn them about the Red Plain place they're walking towards, the Jiaman are on the cusp of being imprisoned, so Haishi takes the maiden's place so the maiden isn't captured, and coincidentally Haishi can go undercover and find shit out about what the Huku are really up to. The maiden is incredibly overwhelmed by this act, and also her initial sight of Haishi trying to protect them from the Huku back at Huangquan Pass and decides she'd really like to marry Haishi and gifts Haishi with the red candles as some sort of Jiaman tribe marriage custom. Aaaaaand THAT'S why Jianming comes in and asks Haishi if she really doesn't know about the candles.
My first instinct is that the production crew MUST be screwing with us. π§
To me, it looked shamelessly plagiarized from the Battle of Helm's Deep...
Meh. No Gandalf. No white-haired mane. No same. Is aok. π (At least with me, just IMHO.) As they say, nothing is truly original.
Frankly it seems like such easily iconic imagery I'd be surprised if no one had framed it in a similar fashion even before the Helm's Deep was filmed.
...but d*mn! I'd forgotten how good those long-haired Rohirrim looked charging around on horseback. Need to go back and re-watch my extended editions again, has been some years. Always a sucker for long-haired men. π
Edit: Woohoo!! Found something to take my mind off away from this drama while waiting for the next episode releases! Lord of the Rings-a-thon!!! πππ°π Thanks Dingoo!
Yeah.. the trailer of epi 15-16 shows she was kidnapped by enemyβs country and the enemy king force her to marry…
That is true, but it is also true that: (a) Not everyone watches the teaser trailers; and (b) Not everyone watches the actual episode releases at the same time; so ....in order that everyone can participate in this comments section without fear of spoileration, please add a spoiler tag to anything that details plot events, like, for example, main characters being imprisoned, or planning to escape their current imprisonment.
The lead actress' voice is unbearable. Why on earth did they not chose a less nasal voice :(
Considering she's trying to act as someone who's trying to pass as male, I think it does the trick. Could you imagine if she was dubbed with someone like the voice of Tilan?
Guys i'm shockedπ she's gonna become queen in episode 15, just not the queen we're expecting to. Watch the…
Aaah. But pay attention : when she gave that speech to the prisoners, she was giving them tactical information. Pretty sure she's planning something. π€π
Sometimes I think raters should themselves be rated. So you don't like a particular actor. How does that mean…
Was just a general contemplation, not a reaction to you individually. I hadn't known that you had given it a 10/10. π
I haven't rated yet, am leaving it until I either finish or drop it (unlikely that I'll drop it since I'm really enjoying it).
But yeah, I really don't get the whole 'anti-fan' thing. Life is short. Why do they need to spend so much energy on being negative about shit they don't like?
...and why should we place any value in their excessively unbalanced judgements?
But then, most people would just skip past the Discussions section and go straight to Comments anyways.

I totally recommend this product to anyone interested in improving their life.

And have you noticed that in the cast listing, his character doesn't even get a name!?
Shame!!

Meh.
Etiquette question : should discussions on teaser contents be spoiler tagged?
If he gets a redemptive arc later on, it better be out of this world amazing, that's all I'm saying.
