I kinda wondered whether General Tang going to have a look-see at Tilan was a diversionary tactic.

I don't doubt that he has some feeling for her, but I just think ... what if he really was meeting with Chang, but when he passed by Haishi he knew it was too much of a risk, that the possibility of Haishi noticing him having passed by put their (possible) conspiracy at risk ... and him instead spying on Tilan would've been a believable cover story to explain his presence.

So then why the cloth over her eyes? I thought perhaps she had identified a reaction to something and the cloth was to stop her seeing it so she wouldn't get dizzy. If it was a drug she'd still be dizzy even with the cloth.

lol @ Haishi - every superhero needs a big flaw. Can't be the height of the cliff as she had no problem serving in the Pass. I'd think maybe it's water, but she had no trouble walking on the beach. Can't think what of what it was that made her dizzy...

...the clip that has me most intrigued is the one right at the end with him in red, with his chambers decorated in red, sitting alone at what seems to be a banquet table. And right before this clip starts to show there is a single close up of a tear dropping from his reddened eye.

I still remember the action scenes from Legend of Fu Yao - in particular the scenes when Yang Mi and Ethan Juan were what I call 'flirt fighting' were amazing. I go back to rewatch them every now and then. ^^

A person irritating you on purpose doesn't excuse an unreasonable response.

Of course, a person who holds the position of emperor has likely never had his hand slapped and been told a firm 'NO!' so as to learn how to moderate his behaviour.

As I understand it, in a nutshell, 'Novoland' is the attempt of bunch of chinese authors to create a fantasy world/stories a la 'Lord of the Rings' style.

From what I've experienced so far (I've only seen a few of them, and not all the way through), by and large this basically means taking the typical love drama/tragedy story and throwing some fantasy elements (like mermaids and mages) into the pot. Like 'Star Wars' is basically a soap opera set in space, 'Novoland' are soap operas set in fantasy.

Just my opinion. I could be wrong. As I've said, my experience of the series isn't extensive.

Much prefer The Untamed's model. Misery for the first half, then consolation and redemption for the second.
