I happened to start watching this bcs I have nothing to watch now. This is my second Zhu Xudan's drama as the…
In regards to 2. So far what I feel from the FL is not so much naivety, though she is that in some aspects, but more that she's very logical and methodical, which comes across as naive and gentle because she tends to think things through first, rather than lash out first.
Shits gonna hit the fan when her emotions get in the way though ... which seems like it might be happening soon. If not because of the whole "he wants me to win the competition so he can get rid of me" thought pot she's currently got bubbling away, then it has to bethat one-nighter. Can sense a pregnancy plot in the making.
In regards to 1. I don't see it as tsundere as such, merely a high IQ, low EQ person with a privileged background thrown in to make him extra arrogant. As a character he's still fairly rational and understanding - as evidenced by his easy acceptance of Li Man's victim status, and the lovelorn guy's relationship v work woes.
A pity he has the conversational skills of a high IQ, low EQ arrogant privileged boss. It's useful for the scriptwriters wanting to stuff some extra drama in, but makes me want to grab my screen around it's neck and shake some sense into it.
In regards to 4. I read the first few parts of the web comic (stopped when I got to the period blood chair ... really? they had to go there!? and so early in the story!??), they've changed the story quite a bit between comic to live action. In the comic he was her friend before she interviewed for the job, and actually helps provide her male clothing.
Anyone having issues with WeTV (owned by Tencent) BL content? WeTV's twitter account posted 10 hours ago about…
It's a pain init. Usually if I can't find the series on WeTV (when it's supposed to be), it's usually because Viki has the airing rights. I'm assuming it's a country airing rights zone thing. Sometimes I wonder why I shell out for WeTV at all.
He's really good in the King's Avatar. I wish there will be season 2.
It's not to say that I didn't enjoy the live action - I did, and have rewatched it a few times. It's just there are one or two things here and there that I think they messed up.
One particular example is Ye Xiu as a team leader.
In the novel at the start he's very much the pro team leader. Always taking care to bring EVERYONE in the team along. Whereas in the drama they have that one particularly ridiculous scene where he draws a circle around the other team members and then goes off to earn the dungeon record on his lonesome. That just didn't fit his nature at all. It matters (at least to me) because in the novel, as it progressed, I got a sense of Ye Xiu's character aging, and becoming stressed by the pressure of having to basically craft the team mostly by himself, and bring everyone along to getting to the finale, such that the stress starts to show in, for example, the season 10 all stars where he gets shirty with being repeatedly called on stage to the point that he's overtly disrespectful.
That progression from being patient, all-encompassing team leader, to stress head, is disrupted by that one ludicrous scene early in season 1 of getting a dungeon record by his own lonesome self.
So portraying his change in character over time in season 2 will be a little difficult. Not impossible, but unlikely to be anything of great dramatic value.
It will probably be majority fan service as season 1 was to a greater extent.
He's really good in the King's Avatar. I wish there will be season 2.
They really kinda screwed the pooch on the translating the novel into the script on The King's Avatar. Tumbled and jumbled it around. Took some stuff out. Added some fluff in. Made the characters different in nature to what's in the novel. To make the second season work they're going to have to put a lot of a decent script for it.
The two switches in particular that are giving me pause at the moment are:(1) changing the dissected fierce corpse…
lol, for some reason I got the impression that the city the guanyin temple was a city off by itself and have been going on that impression for over a year now. ><
Interesting how the anime is switching around the plot.
The two switches in particular that are giving me pause at the moment are: (1) changing the dissected fierce corpse from Nie Mingyue to that witness of the Chang sect massacre (? I think that's the character's name they used, might be wrong); -(2) changing the location of the guanyin temple from Yunping to Yunmeng and switching the timing of the temple visit to prior to the invasion of Jin Guangyao's secret room (are they still going there at all now?).-
That they got that liquor store character to bring up Jiang Cheng's torture of innocent bystanders in Jiang Cheng's search for Wei Ying, while visiting Yunmeng/the temple location, is also interesting.
Causes me to wonder whether they'll be switching the villain from Jin Guangyao to Jiang Cheng.
But nah ... why still include the temple in the first place, since it's a devotion to Jin Guangyao's mum, and who would else would have the motivation to collude with Xue Yang aside from him Jin Guangyao?
Still ... why all these changes? I don't think they'd do all these changes without reason...
Edit : forget point 2 - turns out I had the wrong impression of the location of the temple, my bad. Am still left wondering whether they've altered the end villain though. ^^
I think he is done. But I heard people talked about 10yrs jail, and not sure if that means he can come back after…
Kris Wu is completely understandable. Gaol is where he should be.
ZZH I do not understand at all. More than likely being in a foreign country he just went to wherever 'his people' directed him to go and he gets demonised like this!? Many faceless keyboard warriors out there trying to make themselves feel superior by putting a person of note down. Tall Poppy Syndrome at it's worst.
I think some lines from Richard Marx's 'Right Here Waiting' are particularly apt, but I'm sleepy and my head is full of cotton so I'll leave others to amend the lines that need it:
Oceans apart day after day And I slowly go insane (lol) I hear your voice on the line But it doesn't stop the pain
If I see you next to never How can we say forever
{chorus} Wherever you go Whatever you do I will be right here waiting for you Whatever it takes Or how my heart breaks I will be right here waiting for you
I took for granted, all the times That I thought would last somehow I hear the laughter, I taste the tears But I can't get near you now
Oh can't you see it baby You've got me going me crazy (aaaaaaargh!!^^)
{repeat chorus}
I wonder how we can survive This romance But in the end if I'm with you I'll take the chance
Oh can't you see it baby You've got me going crazy
can anybody please tell me how to I can get out of this drama .it really captured and tamed me .if anybody can…

They cannot do a season 2 bcs they covered the whole novel in 50 episodes. There can only be a remake in the future.
Not quite correct Zezinn ^^ ... I mean, they did do two spinoff movies already, so they don't necessarily have to restrict themselves to the novel. They can tell related stories in the same world.
Personally I'd like a story focused on Lan Zichen following the finale of The Untamed. I mean, it was clear he was fairly shaken up from what he had thought his world and his friendship with Jin Guangyao was like. Only to have the understanding completely turned upside down. I think the story of how he recovers his sense of self and his understanding of the world would be interesting as a drama. I'd like to see a story on how he recovers.
I also found the sentimental, father-debating character of Ouyang Zizhen to be interesting and I'd be interested in seeing a story created for his character to be lead in or at least a main part of.
I think the post-ending scene of Wei Wuxian running around the mountains leading the kids on night hunts was interesting ... I think something along the lines of a tv series based on the trainee's night hunt adventures would work.
Of course these are all just in my dreams ... but I think they could work.

Just yesterday I was wondering whether this page should have an 'intervention' type discussion thread for immortality forum addicts.

Still stuck on preview status for the final two episodes. Jeez I hope I don't have to wait a whole week for those last two (31-32).
I'm a simple person. I make simple points.
