So I just started this today but not sure if I want to continue - can someone help let me know:1. Happy or sad…
1. Hasn't ended yet ... seems that it might be a SE, but we just don't know. 2. When? Do you mean if? Not so much unrequited love, as much as it is a hidden love. 3. Oh, there are various pieces of sugar. But you'll likely feel like throttling them soon after each one.
While they're mouthing off, they don't stop to think that their argument applies backwards as well as forwards. All…
Makes me also think of when they substitute in other actors for the same role, it rarely works out well. Why? Because the actor we see first is usually who we then associate with the character.
Ever Night is the series that pops into my mind straight way, and not just because of Ning Que, but also some secondary characters. If I invested the time and energy into it I could probably create pages of a list of such examples.
I argued with someone in youtube just now, they said yangmi is too old for haishi role (maybe they never see legend…
While they're mouthing off, they don't stop to think that their argument applies backwards as well as forwards.
All indications are that at some point the character of Haishi will be portrayed as an older woman. In that case, if an actress is too old to play a character at an earlier stage in life, are they then too young to play the older character? Just where does it end? They forget that this is *ACTING*. I mean, what else are the make up artists and special effects for?
The key here is how well the character is portrayed by the actor, not the actor's age. Their age, even their physical attributes can be adjusted, but the quality of the acting can never be faked.
I've said it to others before, when debating comments over the quality of special effects, good acting can forgive bad special effects, but good special effects will never forgive bad acting.
The quality of the acting is the key, not whether the actors have had children.
For Pete's sake, I've seen scenes where older male actors are given the treatment so as to play younger versions of their characters in flashback scenes - and no one comments about it.
This hate on older well-known actresses carrying younger roles is so shallow and disrespectful to the actor's craft.
I think they're saving the momentum for the big reveal of her gender when she enters into court. Even in the trailers,…
I don't know why, but I get the sense that Haishi has decided that no matter what FJ might actually feel he'll never allow it to progress, so she's given up, and in the next few episodes it'll be like she's drawing a line in the sand between them for her own peace of mind.
I kinda wondered whether General Tang going to have a look-see at Tilan was a diversionary tactic. I don't doubt…
Especially when you consider that there is absolutely no indication he'd attempted to check on her in the past. FJ's spies are so good/extensive that you'd think FJ would've uncovered it if General Tang had made checks on Tilan a regular thing ... which means he only diverged to check on Tilan at that moment, just as Haishi happened to notice him ... and he also did it while having meticulously adopted a guardsmens' cover.
* Perfect image as a general with seemingly no indication of being two-faced; * Confidently secretly messaging others in court; * Either able to come up with diversionary cover at a moment's notice, or careful enough to have the foresight to consider a secondary cover beforehand in case he is discovered...
...he is reeeeeeeally tricky.
I do love a good hidden plot. :D
Man I hope I'm not just being excessively paranoid again. ><
I was stressing out too.But then I came across a video put out by tencent on youtube showing hobbled together…
Aah, yeah, but also it felt like he was heartbroken and wishing she was there with him instead. After having to bear his coldheartedness while watching the eps, this clip gave him points in my book. So now, yeah, I'm along for the ride, even if it isn't a HEA. :)
I just checked the calendar and I saw that it looks like the emperor and everyone find out she's a girl episode…
Also... - for eps 33-34 on the 28/11 the emojis are an eagle with a knife ... Chang makes his move maybe? - can anyone read the chinese characters that are placed in the emoji section for eps 39-40 on 1/12? - the 3rd to last day of 3/12, eps 43-44 has an emoji of a mermaid ...π€π - the 2nd to last of 4/12, eps 45-46 has a tonne of sweet sweet love it seems; and - the final screening day of 5/12, eps 47/48 should be a total bloodbath. Maybe Haishi goes total berserker in her grief...? π²ππ€
Edit: Sorry Sirry, in my excitement looking through the emojis I ended up repeating you π
However, it was unfolded to be a jade stick. Sadly it was broken
ooooooo
There were scenes with jade hair sticks being thrown on the ground and broken in the trailer clips. Seemed somewhat momentous for the main CP relationship.
I guess shit is about to explode for the main CP in the 24/11 eps.
Is anyone else getting stressed out by this show? Lol. I should have waited until it was over before starting…
I was stressing out too.
But then I came across a video put out by tencent on youtube showing hobbled together clips of the main couple paired with Zhou Shen's OST song "Kiss Me With All Your Heart", and those clips (particularly the last one or two) have calmed my soul towards the main couple. I'm ready for whatever happens between the two going forward. I'm just in it to watch the story unfold. ^^
As others have said, I don't always agree with her opinion on whether a show is enjoyable, but I appreciate her channel for the perspective supplied of someone who speaks the language and who has some industry experience.
Her commentary on things like the poetry used in Joy of Life and Word of Honor were very helpful for me.
It's clear she was defending/fangirling YM.
Some social media users just can't stack enough melodrama in their daily lives, it seems.

It's also a little kinda like drama speed dating.
How can I hold myself together for THREE WHOLE DAYS!????
*sobs uncontrollably*
