Thats scene got me like π€‘. Shifu is a clown if he likes her that much then why treat her like that. If i were…
I've been thinking of him as a somewhat naive character on a lover's level. Which makes sense when you consider he's always sworn off marriage, and then take into account his conflicting reactions to Haishi's interactions.
Edit: Naive might not be the word. Inexperienced? Untrained? As in, he's never allowed himself to feel a lover's attachment, and now that it's hit him, he's not really handling it in a balanced fashion.
Juet saw the trailers for ep 33 and 34 and omghshs. Master bought up breaking the baixi bond. Thank you. Oml.…
Get ready to be heartbroken. That fur-lined coat he was wearing in the last clip seems somewhat similar to the one the emperor wrapped around Haishi as he (emperor) was dragging her away in another trailer I've seen. One in which Haishi is voicing her heartbreak.
I'm warning ya, that production team loves screwing with us!
This Mudan arc is a really boring digression and so cliche I am getting cavities. I am shocked they didn't just…
You know, normally I like to see dramas more fully fleshed out. I actually appreciate time being invested on telling the story of side characters. So, when it comes to the point where I'm agreeing with you that the Mudan (and for that matter, Zheliu and Tilan) side stories are yawn worthy, I'm feeling more than a little guilty of being a hypocrite.
I think what it comes down to is : the side characters have to actually be interesting. And the pampered princess thing has never interested me.
Kudos to the actress though, as the portrayal of the character could have been coma inducing in lesser hands. She's (I'm talking Tilan here) at least somewhat watchable.
Also, it has to be said that I think the Mudan arc is likely a necessary part of the overarching main story, no matter how much it gets fleshed (or dragged) out.
I have admit to not getting your 'Sujin' reference though.
Pretty sure it is. I know I've heard that same voice even before 'Rebirth for You', but it's not coming to me…
Oooh, hang on, it just hit me ... Qiao Yifan in 'The King's Avatar'?
Edit: Looked him up on MyAnimeList. He gets quite a bit of work it seems. Also voice Jin Ling in the anime version of Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. Knew I'd heard him somewhere else!
Can't wait for tonight's epsiodes/this week's episodes. Literally have been doing nothing but watching the trailers…
You know, that 'pay extra to view episodes early' program the chinese web tv platforms had, I hated when it existed. Was glad they all decided to cease it.
BUT RIGHT NOW I'M NOT!
Couldn't they have done that AFTER this series finished..!?
Epi 25 - E28 Trailer in Eng Sub..I noticed how HS says in drunken state..She used to love shifu..Emphasis on "used"..Past…
I'm waiting to see the actual ep. I've a feeling she's deliberately drawing a line in the sand between her and FJ and this scene might be an extension of that effort, as her saying this seemed very specific even though she's supposed to be drunk. But it's just a feeling so ... waiting to see how it actually plays out.
YOUDU!!!!!

Our noses are supposed to grow longer as we age, but I swear, if his was much further up he'd be competition for Michael Jackson!
