I wanna start this but at the same time I hesitated because of MZY, it's truly my problem I admit that. I don't hate her but I guess I dislike her professionalism in her early career a bit and it was a bit of turn off till now and lead me to avoid any of her shows. I just wanna know to anyone who follow her or keep updated, has that changed? She is no longer trying to make herself look good regardless of what her character design supposed to be right?

Despite what some has said about Nie Jiuluo outfit, to me this is my most favorite Reba styling in all of her dramas, it is just my type of outfit which i wish looks good on me too 😁 Especially her in the orange cardigan and orange skirt with the slightly wavy hair, top tier!

What you all think is the reason behind the gatekeeping? I am not complainig because this is chinese drama and I am the one who should know mandarin but I am genuinely curious.

With star like Hu Ge and Wong Kar Wai directing, I simply do not understand the choice of not providing subs.

ngl i definitely think she will play CMMD, heard they already prepared female costumes for the drama so the fl must have been set and her name has been attached to the drama for a long time, i wanna see her take this project too

guys how is the boycott about the LBTG going? i really havent been opening weibo for long time, just opening it occasionally to like her post when she update, is the boycott as strong as the one with LOTTL? cuz i just saw latest updates about this drama today and it seems like she will highly likely take this.

anyway i just hope with all the odds, the drama would at least still turn out enjoyable, i just dont want another anle disaster that's all.

I am definitely among the minority, i think wu lei is a very good actor but i do believe good actors can also not deliver sometimes. I am not a fan of his acting when he tried to be serious like Ling Buyi, his constant frowning annoy me 😭 and also bc i can see that he tried hard to be stoic instead of being naturally stoic. His recent drama with Zhao Jinmai also gave the same feeling to me, he tried hard to potray a romantic role through his eyes and it personally did not work on me but i am definitely the minority bc everyone else love him there.

I tend not to like an acting when i felt actors tried really hard to potray something to the point it came out as disgenuine, of course actor should try hard in acting but it should not be visible to viewers imo. I love him in The Long Ballad and Nothing But You, i love his character more in The Long Ballad but his acting more in nothing but you, there were definitely some moments in NBY where he definitely impressed me. You should still watch Love Like The Galaxy tho, it might not resonate with me but the drama is audience favourite so you might love it and probably had no issue with his acting there since i am definitely among the minority about his acting there.

Personally i dont like Ling abuyi lol probably not a fan of Wulei acting there or his character (i love stoic character btw), it has been on hold for like one year 😂

I saw the reuters as well. But from what I recall, there were no second couples in the novel so I have always thought ZSQ x SHA cp are made up for the drama. But again, I don't really pay attention to other characters besides our leads in the novel so I might missed it.

You watch Hidden Love first before you read the novel right? There is no way First Frost reader felt VM was the suitable Sang Yan, from the height to mannerism, he is just so different from Sang Yan, these seems like comment from fans who watch the drama first and proceed to read the novel, no offense! Even from the trailer I already know I'm not liking his potrayal because Sang Yan would never act goofy like that, his mannerism is just so off from First Frost Sang Yan.

Also, they are not capitalising on the popularity of original character when Sang Yan has always been the most popular character in HL FF universe 😭 I'm not talking about drama character but novel Sang Yan. And drama Sang Yan is not even the original character, novel Sang Yan is the OG character here.

Zhong Siqiao has love interest in the novel? I know her love interest in the drama is Su Haoan but I don't recall them having love line in the novel 😭

no offence but i hate when people use the excuse bad director when in actuality the director work wasn't bad and it was because fans just want to avoid the comparison. why can't we just use real excuse instead of framing one capability? we should be better than that as a fandom.

I'm not talking about Miaoyi but on the fact that ZXW seems to be one of supporting cast (not cameo) and i'm doubting he will be DJX since it is kind of confirmed ZMY is not SZ and SZ supposed to have more appearance than DJX.

It's kind of funny that we are unsure who is playing Sang Zhi yet although she has more appearance than DJX which led me to think ZXW might play the role of Yifan's colleague junior? Or maybe not only time will tells.

It's okay! The case was like 8 years ago. I enjoy his potrayal too though I think there have part where I wish to see more of his emotion, but he was playing a role as an ancient God who supposed to be calm and not affected by anything so that's probably the reason.

I don't really have good feelings towards him since tzuyu situation. He deliver the goofy/comedic role tho but he has always just been an okay actor too me, not outstanding but not terrible.

Definitely my top xianxia and probably best drama of the year already, still waiting for LYF S2. I definitely think the visuals in this one is unbeatable so far. This show makes me hate LGX less lol but i will keep being a silent hater after this and of course QUEEN ZLY ALWAYS NEVER DISAPPOINT!!!

Coldest MC in kdrama. We need more antihero like this. The confrontation scene after they killed his mother is still the best in kdrama history! Just finish rewatching and this scene still gave me goosebump.

To me he did good job with the script he received and I believe it was also director influence on how he should act the role, but as a Sang Yan enthusiast it just hard for me to keep watching. If I did not read FF first I would definitely enjoy his potrayal.
