I lost my patience around ep 21 with all these side characters and SSD OST playing in the background at every semi emotional scene, but it seems like the last few episodes are very good (per the comments). Should I keep watching?
So I was originally disappointed with the show, but it truly does get better in the second half (from ep 7 onwards). The second half (I just finished ep 12) does hinge upon the buildup from the first 6 episodes, though I think they could’ve condensed those 6 (or at least gave the main leads more scenes). All in all, if you weren’t impressed with the first half, I would really encourage you to keep watching — it’s worth it!
One thing I really like about this show is that all the supporting actors have been doing a good job. It may not have the strongest production, but imo the script + acting puts it above some other higher budget xianxias in which I have to fast forward through every side characters’ scenes
Ep 5 — can someone help explain Zhuge Qing’s situation? How Wang Ye “changed his fate”, why he had an inner demon (I think that’s what it is), etc.? I forgot most things in season 1 :(
Wish there was more screen time for the leads — really not enjoying Vicky Chen’s performance so far (not saying she’s bad, just a personal preference). Just finished ep 2 so hopefully things change
I wonder lol, who actually pays attention to these noble feuds
