To me, the leads are one of the most three dimensional characters I’ve watched in recent memory, but to each…
Yep! Both feel innately good but became who they are today partly as a reflection of what society has done to them. I feel like this drama will have more commentary on human nature in future eps.
I only commented to provide a diff POV, in case prospective watchers are reading the comments trying to decide whether to watch or not 😅
Please don't come for me but I think this is yet another drama where the rating is generous. Personally, I don't…
Eh I see where you’re coming from. But I think if Mumu found her own happiness, she prob wouldn’t return to Nanjing since her mom is in Canada, she went to college in Canada, and her dad is in Thailand. So the way I interpreted is, JZ set up a life in Nanjing for Mumu to “fall back” on, if she didn’t find happiness elsewhere, he’ll always be here for her. And then once she came back to nanjing, he continued to pull away from her cuz he was insecure. But he still sent mixed signals (in your words “leading her on”) cuz he loves her haha. But I see where you’re coming from and I hope no one comes after you for voicing your opinions based on a pretty reasonable interpretation
I love the 2 main actors but I feel for this drama, they're not quite right for the role. Kim Hye Yoon doesn't…
I have a feeling they'll reveal why he forgot her. If you rewatch the scene after she leaves the soccer field steps, he's dozing off. If the script actually had him forget her... that's a bad sign for what's to come in terms of plot logic lol
There are some scenes where KHY is showing a darker side, but then she goes back to being quirky again. Hopefully there's more to reveal later on vs. inconsistencies
Was anyone else reminded of Byeon Woo Seok irl when they saw all the ML's ads in Seoul haha
Solid start so far. Storyline seems linear, which I appreciate. Not the most exciting first two eps given it's setting up for future eps, but I don't mind it. Way too many dramas these days have a great first couple eps to reel you in, then crash and burn later on. Hopefully this stays steady & plot + chemistry continues to progress. I have a good feeling but fingers crossed!
Agreed romance was soo underdeveloped. Upto ep5 it was going good then it felt like the writer changed lol. I…
Agree. It just feels like they were trying to pack in too many concepts into 12 episodes so the romance didn’t have room to breathe. They should’ve done 14-16 episodes if they wanted to flesh out all their ideas; or cut out all the underdeveloped concepts and make a 8-10 episode show.
Not memorable, but not terrible. A decent watch with plot that gets lost in the middle
I feel like part of the reason people in the comments are so angry (myself included) is that we all had really high hopes for this drama given the fluffy trailer and the leads. I personally thought it was gonna be my kdrama of the year! But one of the key premises of the show (FL trauma) isn’t even mentioned in the synopsis nor trailer, so when i watched the middle episodes, I felt bait and switched. Maybe it’s just me, but I also think the romance between the leads feels underdeveloped. While the cinematography for the scenic shots is amazing, I feel like the direction (by the director) between the leads is a bit lacking after the first few eps? Not sure why
And I wish they spent just a fraction of their budget on OSTs lol
To me, the first few eps knocked it out of the park. The rest of the show felt emotionally sterile, for some reason.
I went to sleep after watching up to ep 5 and was super giddy to wake up and watch the rest. My face after I woke…
Ok I finished watching. I gave it an 8/10. It’s worth watching but just manage your expectations 😅
Early eps were the best parts; nothing really hit me in the feels. Not to contribute to the kdrama vs cdrama argument, but I think cdramas these days do tension / yearning much better.
That said, it’s a treat to see the leads act together on screen. If it weren’t for the leads, I’d prob give the show a 6/10

Then she just got more and more shy & awkward around the ML, which is tough to watch
