Each to their own, but I mean it is a slow burn because the priority is to stay alive not to the fall in love.…
Yeah I’m typically fine with slow burns and whatnot (in fact I prefer it). I think what’s throwing me off is the comedic element (it was funny to me at first but now a bit repetitive) — if ppl are trying to kill them left and right, I would prefer a darker tone + more “tension” / distrust between the leads. But to each their own! The show is clearly doing well, and others in the comments love it, so I’m clearly the minority
No hate but I’m getting tired of all these “skits”, including the ML pretending to have just transmigrated in front of the FL
I’m also not sensing a lot of chemistry between them so far. It feels more like friendship / good coworker relationship as they try to survive court politics.
The pacing also feels slower after ep 6. I prefer relationships with more tension and angst, so maybe the show isn’t for me. I see why other people like it, but yeah, it’s starting to feel draggy to me 🥲
Yes he is pretending he just got to the world and is clueless but actually hes been there for 10 years the synopsis…
yeah i have no idea how it's gonna go tbh, due to censorship. it's always a wildcard. i feel like they've typically toned down a lot of the original IP in shows, but you're right that it takes away from the story.
so far, it seems like they've toned down his madness (to me, just a tv viewer)
Does anyone think the ML is just acting dumb and cute in front of the FL? I feel like he genuinely likes her and wants her companionship, and is entertaining her to keep her happy. Idk
I'm watching a lot of their content and EY's fans on X low key hate He Yu, I'm trying to watch cute stuff and…
I noticed the exact same on his form!!!!! Omg are we the same person.
I have this weird imagination in my head that He Yu texts Xinxin for advice 😅 cu she’s so resilient, professional, and successful. At least publicly, I feel like she’s the most successful and experienced actor / actress he knows?
I’m not sure what exactly happened in The Untamed, but I read that she’s been hated on for YEARS, and Blossom was her turning point

Oh wow, he's more fit for BOP than he was for SAL? This is an odd thing to say, but I feel like he got less muscular after filming for BOP haha.
I read a comment on that but English wasn't their first language, so I couldn't quite understand it LOL. MZY and HY def have chemistry but I see it as more friendly chemistry at this point, cuz they've known each other for a while. I feel like what HY and EY have is a bit different, cuz I think HY knew about EY (through her shows and songs) but EY didn't know HY LOL. So I feel like bc they haven't known each other for that long, there was a bit of real tension? Idkkk
MZY has been through enough from the Untamed, the SAL fans won't faze her haha. And I guess bc SAL didn't blow up in China, there prob aren't as many CP shippers. I'm a fan of MZY too, she's so pretty. I've seen the BTS for Nine Sutra, and it seems like she's extra flirty with LYR vs. other male costars. Like her in variety shows and her with her costar in The Princess' Gambit, she treats the dudes like bros
I also don’t like how they’re styling him / makeup (foundation looks too thick)
LOL jk no shade to him, just wish the production gave him more scenes
I think it’s a song too, cuz it doesn’t feel like an endorsement nor a show announcement.
My delulu mind hoped it was a relationship announcement for a split sec hah!
But I’m glad there’s a bigger purpose for the comedy. Thank you for letting me know :)

Hopefully his “kid” was made before he transmigrated 💀
I see the 4K option on my phone tho
Esther, Meng Zi Yi, Bao Shang En, Wang Chu Rang (maybe). Maybe we can add Zhang Ruo Nan to the lineup too haha
I don’t mean to drag down other actresses, this is just solely my own personal preferences btw

I thought the popular belief is that she is a great lyricist but I could be in a positive TS bubble lolol
