No, I meant Soo-bin. 😅 I commented around the 3rd episode mark that I rarely feel for the SML but that I was feeling really bad for Soo-bin because it seemed like he was being blackmailed and that he really liked Ye-Ji. At that point most of us thought Seon-Jae was the ML but after episodes 4 & 5, it’s looking like the ML is Soo-bin
You’re right on the first point and some bits of the other points too. For point two, I think Seon-Jae has psd…
That’s such a good observation. I thought she just worked there but you might be on to something. Although, if her family is involved in the running or the ownership of that club I doubt she’d want anything happening with Soo-bin there exposed to the public. But who knows she might be PSYCHO psycho.
It’s partially bittersweet. The leads end up together and have a very satisfying ending. So do the childhood friends. I know some viewers couldn’t get past Ji Soo’s death and decided to drop it. I can understand where they are coming from. I usually try to prepare myself for series with sad outcomes or sad endings and if they’re too needlessly sad I tend to avoid them or watch them without the ending. For me, I feel like the ending is satisfying. Enough so that you don’t feel devastated by it and every wrong is righted. It wraps up nicely. In my opinion every character got what they deserved. Both good and bad (except for Ji Soo). I have no regrets watching it.
GMMTV is adapting the manga and adjust based on Thai culture, not remaking the JP live actionChanges in the JP…
I can understand both sides of the argument. I for one am pleasantly surprised by how this Thai remake has turned out so far. And this is coming from someone who loved the JP version. Also, something I’ve only just realised recently while trying to catalog the bls I’ve already seen and that is that more bls than you think are actually remakes. Every Asian country that does bls have been doing it and they’ve been doing it for a good number of years now.
If I had to pick a side, I would say I welcome remakes of Asian bls (and Asian dramas in general) by other Asian countries because there is enough of a cultural difference and filming style to make it feel different enough. However, I don’t tend to feel this way about western remakes because it’s the same filmmaking style being recycled over and over again. I’ve only ever liked the remakes of Nordic to English/American versions for example.
Ji Soo. She’s the female detective partnered with Seong Mo and is in love with him. We all thought they would end up together. Alas, it was not meant to be. 😭😭
Throughout the world, witch-hunting of celebrities have become increasingly popular. But even by that standard,…
Well said. Especially your last two paragraphs. This is my biggest wish for k-drama and K-pop fans. I see some of that uglier side play out right here on MDL and although this is just people commenting online and it might not seem that deep to some, these behaviours online shapes our behaviours in the real world and that toxicity that is cultivated online can have a serious impact on a person’s life when they are directed against real people and real issues with real consequences. I hope people take this to heart and resist the knee-jerk reaction to get defensive.
So, they didn't release the interview while the police and the media ruined his life, but now when he died, they…
Truly it’s a f-ed up world when the media loses its compassion. First they spread rumours for clicks, then they use your death for clicks and finally your memory and legacy. It’s all material to be used by them. I feel so sad for his loved ones. Months of ordeal and their ordeal has only gotten worse in the worse possible way. 😔
Do you know how many times I had to rewind parts in episode 4? 😂 If you blinked more than once during this…
You’re right on the first point and some bits of the other points too.
For point two, I think Seon-Jae has psd about being around people because someone (or more than one person) either stalked him and constantly took pictures of him or he wasn’t stalked but the flashes of cameras gave him psd or he was involved in a scandal where someone took compromising pictures of him and a girl which ruined her life.
For point 3, everything Soo-bin said to Ye-ji prior to the current events were true. He WAS working towards being worthy of her that’s why he hadn’t made a move yet. It’s just a shame that he got caught up in Da-Eun’s bs and now all that hard work is being derailed.
Also is that club manager pimping Soo-bin out or is it just me?
I wondered because The Sign still aired this week and they are both GMMTV.
