Saw the thumbnail and clicked straight away. That scene and all the others you mentioned made me laugh so much. Gu Won's attempt at a smile still makes me chuckle. lol
Sorry for the late reply, but yeah this show is very 00s. But don't be scared to watch other older shows because…
This hasn't put me off watching older dramas and movies. I'm open to watching anything that looks/sounds interesting. I've actually now seen the rest of the Liar Game series.
Interesting take. I suspect the relationship between DH and HH is more akin to debtor and debtee. DH behaves as…
Without making excuses for DH, I think itâs more complicated than that. His one chance to escape his father (sitting that exam) fell through. I image he was offered help by HH which he took because he had limited options, not knowing that it would keep him beholden to HH. He doesnât seem comfortable in that lifestyle. I may be misreading things but their dynamic does not look equal to me. We see how money and power gives people control over those not on their level. Look at the mother of the student flexing her power over DH. We simply canât ignore the setup of that society and the choices it leads desperate people to make in order to survive, or in order to have a shot at their dream. But of course this is all speculation on my part, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I was waiting for someone to bring this up but I see that no one has, so I am going to mention it here. The very last scene with the SatNav showing the destinations of the Taekwondo gym and HH's law firm; what do we think that means? Did JY go to see HH before meeting DH at the end of episode 6? Did HH reveal something that gave JY a better understanding of what is going on with DH? It must be significant for them to linger on that shot, right?!
. I think itâs the first series which captures the awkwardness of first love accurately and the added challenges…
Same. I have so much empathy for the characters. To me everything makes sense and the actions and developments are in line with the characters so far. I think I understand what it's about and where the story is going.
No, people, Do Hoe does not need therapy. He needs a good beating, followed by institutionalization in a facility…
In the case of this BL I don't think the explanation provided in episode 5 is exactly truthful. I think DH is still holding back the truth and there is more to why DH cut ties with JY and that it has something to do with HH and the missing 12 years. I may be wrong, in which case you'd be right in your assessment. We shall see.
Complexity is good, but the writing has to be good as well. Complex alone means very little if it's not done well.…
I have a feeling that the missing 12 years was also filled with a lot of struggles/things DH is not proud of that is keeping him in this perpetual state of shame and stunted emotional growth. As for JY, he strikes me as a 'fixer' and a lot of his actions are borne from this. I guess it's hard to change a fundamental personality trait and he doesn't seem to have much support/ a support network to lead a different kind of life. To be honest, they both seem to be stuck in life. They are two broken people, living instead of addressing what's holding them back and unable to grow.
They are all messed up people, even JY. As much as I pity JY for being an abandoned puppy, I don't care how you…
Interesting take. I suspect the relationship between DH and HH is more akin to debtor and debtee. DH behaves as if he is being held hostage by HH. The discomfort is palpable.
1. The exam results JY found for DH dated 2012.
2. I canât imagine those snobbish parents would send their kids to a school where the teacher didnât graduate.
âŠ.unless he has faked all his credentials.
