Nah, the manga is much weaker and more 08/15... adding the diary to the whole story improved it and removing the 08/15 school bullying did concentrate the story of just the two MLs. Especially because JBLs are mostly 10 episodes or less, so it was important to cut off some things to have a compact story. Of course we would not mind if they had also 12 episodes but....

That's ok... and it depends on the novel... sometimes less is more... see "Our Youth" were there was cut a lot but also added a layer which made show much better compared to the novel.

I don't understand it, because he does everything to keep him, he tells him in the very first episode "I love you as you are" - but refuses intimacy.... I don't get it...

It felt shallow... "I feel I'm the cause of your parents dying - and still I was a bastard isolating you from anyone and still did not give you the hugs, touches and sex you deserved"... He said, he loves him... so why no sex? Just because of his guilt? But otherwise acting as a bastard? Sorry, that did not make much sense for me. Of course, I'm not Japanese, so I might not get it.

I did not overlook itm, it's -1 for the story... but acting would be an eleven anyways. Besides that, this drama was completly different from the usual thai crap, so it really deserves the 10.

It's Japan... Sei thought of it as his deserved punishment (which of course is sick)... At least in western countries he would be in jail now...

Besides the Fuji explaination there is nothing to complain about... The acting was top notch, the chemistry off the charts and cinematography & direction was done in perfection...

disagree... the feeling was transported perfectly... only the explaination of Fuji was not satifcatory...

And they could only change if they don't have ships at all, but GMM Artist Managment gets a commission for all the ad-deals from their actors and ships sell... of course the actors earn much more through billboards and ad campeigns (especially if you think about that most only do one BL a year).... The One Enterprise (mother of GMM Holdings which owns GMMTV) had only 6.227 billion THB turnover (in 2022) and 6,515 billion THB in 2023 (net profit 758million in 2022, 507million in 2023)... which is nothing comparatively... idol marketing makes 1/3 of their turnover. Content Business is ~64%. I guess the profit comes from idol-marketing - I guess they get a commission from their artist when they get an ad-deal... From the view of the net profit, this company is in trouble :) I just wonder why the gross profit is 2.6billion but the net profit is only 507million :)

So because the profits are not that high, I doubt they the option to change :)
