This is definitely the best wuxia cdrama I've watched in a long time. I wasn't expecting much when I started watching as I didn't know any of the actors/actresses, so I was pleasantly surprised with the story, the visuals, and the strong chemistry between the leads. Can anyone recommend something for me to watch?
Interesting ending to ep 32 and really looking forward to the last 4 eps. I trust the main leads that we will have a HE. The question now is how JBZ will be cured. Will Situ actually have a change of heart and manage to grow the diwu tree? Honestly I doubt this will be the case. I’ve been racking my brains on what could be the implication of the painting of BY changing. I guess whatever it was will play a major factor in JBZ plan. Or maybe just maybe MY will find another cure?
Just finished eps 27 and 28 and while I liked both of them, I was also extremely annoyed as Situ had too much screen time. He appeared in more than half of ep 27 even before JBZ was shown. And how come MY doesn’t know that heart blood can only extend your life by hours when JBZ dragon companion know about it? While the leads had their moments especially in the enchanted forest, they are still not communicating properly. Imagine given the golden millet and not even telling MY about it. I hope the writers don’t annoy us further by making Situ even stronger than JBZ if ever he manages to have a spiritual vein. With 8 eps to go hopefully they don’t feel rushed.
Everytime she rejects situ it comes off rude. I fear it triggers him to turn evil. U don't have to ignore him…
I see nothing wrong with MY replies or actions because she obviuosly has no feelings for Situ. It is actually Situ crossing the line as he's been initiating physical contact.
I tried watching this 2 years ago and only reached ep 7 because there is no chemistry between the 2 leads. I just can’t stomach seeing SK with PMY. I guess I’m used to watching SK in Sweet Home and My Demon, so I gave it another go. Still no chemistry and I’m really annoyed with the character SK is playing. I mean you tell your GF you love her very much but will not marry her because you don’t want her to share your burden. That is so immature and a sign that you are a coward. Anyway I just needed to rant, but will still finish the drama for the sake of finishing.
Watched this drama without any expectations, but surprisingly liked it. The whole family were weirdos especially the 2 brothers. Even the father was exposed in the end to also have his evil side. The lead lady got retribution in the end for all of the other servants but she wasn’t exactly innocent herself. They also made her plain looking in the drama. She looks beautiful in her profile picture here.
Just finished ep 24 and this is the first episode that I got annoyed. I understand we’re more than 2/3 to finishing the drama, so it’s high time to introduce another villain (i.e. her uncle). What is the point of confronting her mother, aunty and uncle, and threatening to go to the police then escaping to HK. She’s already well established in her job in the news agenda but quit to start anew in HK. I understand the need for drama but come on be realistic!!! Let’s not say that she did that before because she already realised how bad she was to SY before thus she decided to pursue and win him over. The apology letter she wrote doesn’t cut it. Hopefully, they don’t drag the drama too much and let them be together again.
I'm really liking this drama because it is relatively light on drama compared to others. The role seems tailor fit for Esther and the chemistry between the two love teams is very good. Is it just me or the actress playing Mu Yao seems a mix of Bailu and Zhao Jinmai?
Just finished watching and whilst the ending wasn’t happy, I didn’t find it that bad. Personally I rate this a 9. If only they showed the “what if the fire didn’t occur” scene last then it would have been infinitely better. Mei Lin bumping into Prince Jing and the last scene is Mei Lin smiling.
Okay I’m confused so can someone please spoil me. Did Mei Lin die (?) in ep 27 after hanging herself? Or she took something to stop body functions? It would be very strange for the FL to die with 5 eps remaining.
I really liked the fighting scenes in ep 22 and 23. Just too bad that Mei Lin wasn't involved. Prince Jing saying he only used Mei Lin and that everything was only an act was so cliche and annoying at the same time. Currently on ep 26 and it is obvious that Mei Lin understands that Prince Jing did what he had to do to keep her safe, but she is giving him the coldest of shoulder. I've never liked the Xiyan Prince from the start , and at this stage of the drama I'm not sure if he will be the enemy in the end or the pro-war faction leader. I've been reading a lot about the ending not being happy or good. I'll make my own judgment after I've actually watched the ending.
Sometimes I don't understand Korean beauty standard. I read an article saying that Chun Woo Hee had difficulty getting leading roles because she was too ugly. I mean really!!! She has good visuals and give me Song Hye Kyo vibes.
