The novel is AMAZING! The twists and turns are top notch and both male and female leads are great!

I agree that she is the absolute best choice for this role having read the novel! That being said I really loved her in the other 2 also because she showed me how versatile she can be :)

I think it was because the promised romance didn't quite come through towards the end...in general though it's just this comment section that has some hatred, the drama seems to be getting love everywhere else at least from Twitter :)

From what I can sense here, it looks like censorship did a number on this drama. I still have to finish it, but I really liked the chemistry between the leads so far. Zhou Ye is my favorite cdrama actresses and she is a directors actress from what I can tell. Every drama I have watched she has excelled in the portrayal of all her characters including intimate scenes, fight scenes..so definitely an actress I am looking forward to watching in the future!

Another drama finished and now a drama slump for Zhou Ye...wonder what she is filming after legend of the female general! Going to miss her :)

I am truly holding out, have episodes from 14 onwards to watch, I am determined to wait until everything is out..its killing me though :(

It depends on what you term as romance. To some, its the tension between the couple before they become one, to some its a lot of skinship before and after they become a couple, to some its after they become a couple. I think this story has a lot of healthy tension between the couple...and its well done to the extent that you want more..that is a sign of a well executed drama IMO :)

I know right? I think the drama adaptation has been really good, adding the right amount of plot devices and such, each to their own!

At this point the waiting is insanity each day..I think I am going to wait to binge at least until episode 20 with the small hope they release express for the last 4

I'm traveling so can't watch any episodes until Wednesday, I hope we get the express package! On a side note, our leads look so amazing together...they light up the screen 😍!

I know sometimes I want all the episodes to be out and sometimes I want only one episode to savor the show some more :( The conflicts!
