I usually avoid trailers, bc they are often cut in a way to trick the viewers. Besides, these two are scheming from the 1st ep, what we see in trailer could always be part of their pretending/staging in sync, so why bother?
The only thing we know - bc it's logical - is that he must restore his previous identity, otherwise he'll be killed. He is an upright official and for the FL, who beside handling the mess in her mannor and will be forced to handle the disaster with business as well, has Mrs Yang/Wan'er's nanny to protect while her own kin is around trying to silence her for good. If I were her, I'd prefer to entrust the solution of this cold case/hot potato to the imperial inspector who btw loves me.

And ofc, the leads will be separated, lets' just hope they are prepared and in sync to assign the cold case to the imperial inspector he is.

If it's any consolation, we know they must separate anyways: they've detained prefect's people in the mansion, people sent by the prefect to kill him, btw the same person who attempted to his life before so - if she wants LJL to stay alive - he must restore his original identity asap. She knows all that as well she knows the Yang senior is not in the house for nothing offering the other twin in marriage and that they probably know about the bead bracelet (which is still missing) and that they are after Mrs Yang hidden by her - so sooner or later she'll be found, better by an imperial inspector than Mrs Yang's kin who wants to silence her for good.
It's true that by showing off himself in public he brought the FL to a fait accompli, but the FL brought ML to fait accompli more than once and he didn't bat an eye, so I suppose she'll do the same.
Imo, he had enough talk with her, they've truly seemed like husband and wife in that moment, so there's no need to furtherly touch her emotional issues (it may be counterproductive and open some of her old wounds) bc they are only hers and the most particular among these issues is her relationship with her granny, the power game played by the old lady RSB must confront sooner or later. Even in real life romantic relationship is often unwise to press on issues which can be perceived as "meddling" in stuff regarding one partner's original family. They have more pressing and concrete problems to address and better be in sync and have a plan in advance. I've thought we would have moved today to his original background and identity, didn't expect we'll still be stuck with granny and "sisters" breathing the stuffy air of the Rong mansion and with a natural calamity approaching the plantation...

yup. The girls are like that bc of grandma who truly thinks she has a leverage over RSB if they constantly question or undermine RSB's authority. you've probably missed our previous discussions on grandma and her total failure as a person in charge of their education and the general respect of roles and rules. We've analysed the threat you've mentioned as well.
Grandma talks big and indulges her granddaughters as a leverage over RSB, as the two of them (the old lady and RSB) are essentially "parallel powers", as the first is in charge of household and the latter is in charge of family business. RSB is in charge of business for a good reason: the tea bone, for which we know isn't an innate gift but an acquired vast technical expertise regarding tea and tea business, no other Rong girl has. This fact makes RSB a breadwinner and gives her the top authority in a hierarchical cluster called "family". So, whatever the grandma says in this regard are... just empty words. Each of these girls has a personal problem and reason why cannot be in charge (one is bratty and unruly, one is blind and servant's daughter, one is a concubine's daughter with servile mind, one is mentally impaired, one is surnamed Shen, while males are not allowed to be in charge and the one we've seen is so dumb that cannot qualify even if he were a girl) and even the one we've all perceived as a rival is so stupid to collude with family's enemy n°1 in a crime against one of the Rongs.
And both grandma and RSB are clever enough to know all as above. If RSB decides to leave the Rong mansion, taking her little sis and nanny the old lady perceives as "a mess left by RSB's mom", with her level of tea expertise she can always live well as a manager elsewhere, while the entire Rong mansion will collapse in no time due to their infightings and lack of respect of roles. Ofc., there are some advantages of living in that mansion: Rong is a powerhouse with family rules providing protection against abuses women could suffer after married. But protecting the Rongs so devoutly and selflessly as RSB does is bringing them no good either.

Indeed. And the show in front of the granma when she "punished" the two sisters with a chess game and drinks? I was fuming. Instead of making them kneel in the ancestral hall asking them what they've done wrong? But, hey, we've already analysed that part, so we can only hope the disaster will knock some sense into those arrogant, cocky heads

LJL knows her better than she knows herself. I agree with him she is acting cold but is too soft hearted towards her family members while being too hard on herself, constantly worrying about the people she protects, tea trees, family business etc. This attitude of hers will create a rift between the two of them, bc this isn't how persons should be handled and LJL is again right on spot when he said that.
A modern doctor would diagnose her pneumonia as "a collapse of immunity system due to overwork, exhaustion, stress and lack of self care". A psychologist would say "she wears that cold mask to hide her overprotectiveness and incapability to establish clear and effective boundaries between herself and everything she wants to protect." I've always thought the grandma is to blame for the mess in the Rong's family (and she actually is the n°1 culprit for it) but RSB is also at fault. She never complained, refused to (over)work, delegated a task or soundly "f*ck off-ed" sisters' unreasonable and poisonous remarks. That's how she silently indulged them as well, saying: "it's ok, this is how the things should normally work", so they'll never learn how to behave. Above all, she never contraddicted her grandma, in front of her she is always composed, calm and stable. And that troglodyte continues to add burdens on her, she even tasked her to write letters of gratitude for the gifts anybody can write. Instead of sending that pile of papers back to the old lady with a message: "if you can't do it yourself, task some of your idle granddaughters, I have no time for this crap".
She literaly gives vibes of a deity who doesn't need to share her thoughts and worries with anybody. And LJL is again right: she is not a deity, but made of flesh and blood. Now that she has LJL who is willing to share her burdens, she shouldn't hide mrs Yang and Wanwan from him. She should instead plan with him a way to solve the Wei case with a minimum damage for these two. The storm is coming, folks, not only on that plantation but on the plot as well.

Bratty 4th sis already cleaned and fertilised the ground instead of letting the water already present under the ground to flow away and will provoke a waterlogging disaster on the plantation and Yunshu enjoys the fact 4th sis will be held responsible for that disaster, metaphorically expressed with her last phrase that she enjoys that "little drizzle" and finds it refreshing.

The writer evidently wanted us to condone Yunxi's collusion with family's enemy n°1 which led to her cousin's "murder" depicting her as dumb as not to know what kind of psycho He was. And we feared her all the time as a master of schemes and top rival. I agree with you, total disappointment.
And I despise grandma even more: she continues to add more burden to already worn out RSB like tasking her to personally write letters of gratitude just anybody can write. Lets just hope the tea plantation disaster during RSB's illness will knock some sense and discipline into these unruly girls...

And he told her well: she doesn't know how to keep in check her sisters. They are unruly bc their grandma never disciplined them and indirectly wants them to challenge RSB's authority, but RSB's fault is her handling the business alone, never assigning tasks to her sisters and establishing the hierarchy of roles and the system of merits and demerits. As Lu said: she isn't a deity, she is made of flesh and blood, she'll just crash from exhaustion if continues to wear herself out.
And that grandma is truly despicable. As RSB isn't burdened enough, she even assign her additional task anybody else can handle like writing the thank you letters
