Overall, I really enjoy this drama! Scriptwriters definitely have BRAINS; the script is tight, well connected, well layered, and shows some good research. Most details are explained with a sprinkle of science; even when persuading FL that loops exist, it's not just, "babe, trust me" like typical loops drama.

BJT delivered great acting. I know he can do romance and serious roles, but from this drama I now know that his dying scenes ( with veins popping or the unconscious scenes where he just let his whole body dragged on the concrete floor) are impressive, and he can definitely do comedy well too 🤣. Please give BJT's eyebrows a few more scripts.

My guess is he is the original author of the story, they fight for how the storyline is going to go, that can explain duplicate characters and other error in settings

I am watching till ep 9 and wow, the plot is super neat and intense, things are tied to each others nicely, even those events that I thought are not signigicant

I'm on the 1st ep, but promising start, I would prefer it better if they started with his college time rather than the action/bank robbery case, but that's minor. Nice setup, some good humor, ML's acting is pretty solid. Will gradually catch up with the rest of the eps XD

What a shitty plot for the past 5 eps or so, characters got introduced and dropped faster than ML changing clothes. Remaining characters got annoying one at a time and more and more unreasonable over time, while ML kept getting beaten, tortured, shouting, and crying throughout. Congrats to the scriptwriters. I'm about to run out of characters to support at this point, may as well cheer for the cgi snakes, should have beaten more ppl than just the sister.

The plot is really testing my patience. Why do all of these characters just get annoying one by one, and they now just take turns to torture the ML mentally and physically? what kind of victim plot is this?

To add to the previous comment, Wang Yinglu has amazing range; you will find her totally different here (romantic comedy), and also totally different in I am Nobody.

There is really no other big wuxia/xianxia/historical drama at the moment. The thing that topped the chart last week was moonlit. It is backed by 2 networks at the same time, so has some spread & channel availability. There is also a lot of hype around the cast.

They both bias comment sections and recommendations in my eyes, esp for those neutral and looking for drama recommendations like myself.

and the even earlier one that op was talking about is 10/10. It applies to both sides.

There are people who will do anything to promote their fav, there are people who like to chases those upvotes. It happens to every drama

Keep it low, that will be easier on you for almost all drama. First couple of ep, nothing out of ordinary, fighting scenes are not that amazing, but it gets a bit better later on, it'so so, watchable, nothing insults your intelligence. Acting is ok, maybe a character will annoy you along the way but not too much, typical plots that have been seen in other dramas before, easy to guess, just dont expect anything mind-blowing.

I think that yellow dog needs a cast credit. He has acted in so many drama by now.

I'm on ep 2, nothing out of ordinary, so so, watchable.

tbf, they are 0.1 different, very small. Also, a drama has fewer watchers can still have a higher rating than a drama with more watchers. The number of watchers and hence raters can depend on how well the drama is promoted or how popular the cast is.

I have watched both, and I rate this one much higher than LoFG, but that's my personal opinion. I know the story of LoFG beforehand; the current adaptation destroyed the story for me on many levels, and the acting is unconvincing. I felt like I needed to turn off my brain on too many occasions than I wanted to. I also had a hard time watching FL's acting, but probably that's personal interest. So could not hang on too long to see any kind of chemistry between leads which also happened a bit later in the story.

In comparison, over here, the plot has its bump, but in return, refreshing FL's character and humors, solid ML, excellent cp chemistry, to the point that none of the current romance dramas work for me anymore. I just found myself rewatching this cp.
