I think it’s less about wanting instant chemistry and more about whether you can feel the potential early on. Even in slowburns or long dramas, there’s usually a certain energy between the leads from the start, without needing big romantic moments. That said, I totally get the patience argument, especially with a 40-episode drama.
For me it just felt a bit lukewarm at first, so I understand why some people noticed it, while still leaving room for it to grow later.
