I get where you’re coming from. Everyone has their own aesthetic palette, and that initial visual harmony (or lack of it) really shapes the impressions. I can’t deny that I visually loved the FL with CL and HMH more. That said, I still really enjoy this pairing—their chemistry feels comfortable and natural to me, including visually.
Funny enough, when I first saw this ML (in a costume drama), it actually took me a while to warm up to him too, so I relate to that hesitation. But somewhere along the way, he completely won me over.

From the BTS clips, he does seem genuinely fond of her—he clearly finds her cute and hilarious—but I’ve noticed the same kind of ease and natural warmth with her other co-stars as well, like Cheng Lei and Hou Ming Hao.
