There is love triangles every where, so many have chemistry with ML;)
That's a fair interpretation. But ZYC is friend-zoned by WX, and ZYZ's bond with WX is much deeper than ZYZ and ZYC's love-hate relationship. When you think about it, ZYC is the one getting in the middle.
Will there be a love triangle? Earlier, WX clearly defined her relationship with ZYC by referring to herself as his aunt. So, from WX's perspective, ZYC has already been friend-zoned. However, we still don't know whether ZYC's protectiveness of WX is based on romantic feelings (I doubt it) or a younger brother's inclination to protect his big sister from the big bad demon.
Idk how they will rewrite the novel to fit in China's censorship guide, but based on the 1/4 that I've read so…
The will 100% destroy the source material to fit China's censorship. If you enjoyed the novel, lower your expectation for the drama. I learned my lesson with Hidden Charm (Are You The One). The pretty much rewrote everything.
I finished reading the novel today, and I loved it, I think they were perfect as Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai and now…
I'm up to ch. 100. JBS is a morally grey character. But so is Ming Yi. They have both lied, deceived, and betrayed each other. By the way you're talking, It seem like only JBZ paid a price for his moral failing, while Ming Yi took zero responsibilities and paid no price for hers. Now I don't want to keep reading. I hate these kind of story.
I've ready up to ch. 100. It's an interesting story with many morally grey characters, including the ML and FL. I will keep my expectations very low for this adaptation because they rarely do justice to these kinds of source materials. Everything will be diluted.
Seems like we're past the cold LMT bullshit and groveling CXZ. I might watch again to see how much they'll rush…
My problem isn't with the creative liberties taken by the drama; it's with how they fundamentally changed the lead characters in a way that betrayed their essence and diluted their love story. For instance, Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy successfully captured the essence of Tolkien's work in a new medium while delivering a different but compelling experience. In contrast, this drama offered a different experience that was less compelling due to the significant changes made to the characters and their arcs. So, I'm don't dislike the adaptation because it's different. I dislike it because it's bad.
Honestly her traveling to him or in the case of the drama her taking care of him would have made so much sense.…
Viewers typically embrace well-written shows, even when they present reality without sugar-coating. The reason behind many bad adaptations, is that the people behind these adaptations are often mediocre and constrained by the studio's restrictions and censorship. They’re definitely going to rush the ending—classic CDrama style! Lol
In the novel, this dude has a harem of like 6 women. lol
