"I think you misunderstood the news. When they announced the drama last year they said already that Irreplaceable is a mid-length drama, short series not full length,20 episodes, 24min per episode. The policy of CCTV that they are talking about is not to shorten it but to include those short format series to their mainstream cdrama list (full length ones),that drama of BJT and Irreplaceable were selected by the network for their 2026 important projects list. They now removed the limitation of key projects to full length dramas only. Before mid-length/short series in Cdrama are low-bugdet, now they are doing innovation in producing dramas, those short series with good quality production and well known directors can now be taken as network's priority projects. They are trying to copy the Kdrama industry who are now producing short series with 8-12 episodes but high budget and good quality production."

I heard different though. On x, the hate is coming from her other former male lead fans. They are saying that SWL edits with him is using him to promote SOM. But even if the ratings go down in MDL that won't matter to the amount of awards they will be getting in China on Tencent Starlight Awards 2026 and other platforms. Both are already invited for Weibo Night and also nominated for Huanwang Big Data Annual Ceremony awards for popular actor and actress. Just yesterday, it has been honoured with the Annual Surprise awards from New Weekly 2025 Annual Video List. They have been also certified that SOM can be a contender for prestigious awards like Golden Eagle and Feitian Awards. In China, idol dramas are not recognised in prestigious awards but SOM will be the first idol drama that can enter due to its storyline and life lessons portrayed by the drama. So no matter the haters, SOM will not be forgotten.

She is still currently filming. She has been flying back and forth to Qingdao, Shanghai and Beijing for all the SOM & Guerlain promos while filming. Poor her has to travel back and forth in winter. The co-producer and director for TWE3 is like a godfather to her so she is quite lucky to leave filming site and travel.

I hope you didn't skip some scenes because your understanding of the letter and the garden speech is way different from majority of us. I suggest you rewatch it again. She haf every right to question him at the garden especially after she had nothing to do with his accident. He overworked her in the beginning for his revenge but when she found out the reason behind it, she felt bad for him, she was already in love with him so yes, she had every right to tell him those things. She was right though, if he had talked about his accident with her in the beginning, they wouldn't have to go through all that. She wasn't harsh on him though, she was still soft spoken.

I like the business talk because where I live, solar energy is encouraged. I was in awe of how smart Xiguang was when she spoke business monologues. It just proved Zhao JinMai's reputation for excellent line deliveries.

😂 They are both shy, But the big change is MaiMai. She stepped up to the ocassion and wasn't too shy like she usually is. Both are actually tired. ZJM is still filming for TWE3 and SWL for the spring gala festival. That was so sweet of SWL to ask MaiMai for them to hold hands while they reenact the walk of fame🤭.

He comes in as guest starring because even though he is not first billing he is still billed according to a male lead role which is just below ZJM.

Another reason why she is first billing here is because she was chosen by Daylight Entertainment productions and it was also their deal with Youku that she was first billing. DE have always treated ZJM like family. She is even best friends with the directors daughter who visited her on the set of SOM during filming. They are the same production company that produced and directed Reset. ZLH auditioned for the role of ML his fans was angry with DE because of the way they treated ZJM on set compared to ZLH. Some of his fans said that she was arrogant just because she was first billing. They threw all sorts of insults and it became worse when it was leaked that ZLH character's backstory was removed from the final editing. The thing with DE is that they are a strong production team that actually produced dramas that get prestigious awards. CCTV was due to air OG last year May as scheduled but all of a sudden the schedule had changed and it was dropped from the CCTV list of dramas to air.

I think you have got their roles reversed. You mean WL brings seniority and huge popularity while LW is the rising talent. This drama has been long time coming. The producer and director have been waiting for WL as far as I know, 2 years while Li Wanda was chosen just last year out of the other 2 actresses from her generation because of her excellent Martial arts skills. She is a good pick and this will also boost her profile for dramas.

In real life, the scenes are done in such a way that the kid wasnt there. But if you mean in the drama then the kid was meant to be sleeping.
