Title Light on Me
tried one episode but struggling to like Taekyung acting here, I understand that he's loner or not sociable but…
If you're not vibing then drop it because this one is longer and develops slowly.
It's a slow character development show rather than an intense passionate love story.

I've seen some neurodivergent Taekyung theories around and as a loner myself I love his oddball quirky moments.

"Love for Love's Sake" is in a category that is not worth the classification it has. The KBL tries to address…
What I find even more ridiculous, are people who try to dictate how others should live and what they should say or not say.

Best/Worst are simple words yet too complex for immature people to understand.

I don't care about what society or popular wannabes like you think, if something matches my tastes then it is the best for me and period.

Go cry a little more cus your irrelevant opinion can't dictate what's the best or worst for other people.

I'm sorry the comments are hilarious! y'all are still comparing this to Semantic Error like they're the best!…
No one is pretending anything. If someone thinks a BL is the best then it is the best for them and period. Learn to respect people's personal tastes and stop trying to impose your tastes above theirs.

Most KBLs are very unique with different stories with completely different messages for different target audiences. We are not a single community with the same tastes, we're all individuals with unique preferences.

Comparing shows and arguing about which is best are signs of close minded, immature childish people with narrow worldviews who can't accept other worldviews besides their own.

is it a bl?
No, just faint hints of bromance that could easily be just a non-romantic friendship. Still enjoyable though.

No it's just that you're a little dense and can't interpret the events correctly. They weren't dating yet so there…
I'm good at many things honey, but one thing I'm not good at is putting up with illogical bullshit.

I didn't insult you personally as a person, I made a counter-opinion to your opinion and an observation about your lack of experience with different flavors of BLs.

"By your logic, why didn't the show just skip the part where they reconciled after ignoring each other the 2nd time after the surfing accident in episode 6?"

Because this isn't a BL about the couple being together every single scene, it's about the journey, the highs and lows of relationships, traumas and about many other topics including the non romantic relationships of the characters with other characters.

And once again they weren't ignoring each other, it's you who can't understand what the characters were going trough and why they were acting that way.

I read everything you wrote carefully so I was able to infer your implicit opinions, you don't have to say something explicitly to say it.

"I realized the five senses are not everything" - Eun Ji

She was probably referring to how the physical connection and her female charms are not everything.
Jae Won and Ji Hyun have an emotional and spiritual connection that transcends shallow kissing and sex, they weren't together just for physical pleasure.

Somethings in life require an "Eighth Sense" to be understood.

Korean Alcohol abuse is a recurrent theme in many dramas as a reflection of real life Korean Society. I don't like it either but gotta put up with it.

Meh, technical nitpicks for cinematography connoisseurs. I don't think there were any loose ends here. Everything…
Now that you mentioned it in more detail I agree.

Eun Ji was just a shallow villain who ended up being a cheater to make things worse, and the trauma could've been explored better.

I do remember the show jumping back and forth between scenes in a not so cohesive manner.

Still, I think that a strong point of this drama is not being so dramatic, polished and theatrical which makes it feel a little more realistic and believable.

Another sexless BL. Where's the desire? I saw no chemistry between these two.
Love isn't just sex. Love between two boys can be expressed in many ways.
Any show that portrays men loving each other sexually or not is a huge plus.

I kinda just turn off my brain when trying to enjoy shows but I understand where you're coming from. When something is your field of expertise you'll automatically notice the flaws even if you tried not not.

I'm not a crazy fan pretending everything is perfect but I'd love if you could further elaborate your problems with the story.

Ji Hyun no ignored Jae Won, he was always after him, he was the main reason for entering the surfing. Jae Won…
Because you're still an immature BL watcher. Your tiny brain can't understand that a BL doesn't have to be about kissing and sex every single second of the show.
A BL can also be about self discovery, about traumas, about friends and family, about fighting and making up, about hurting and forgiving, about laughing and crying...
Being gay should be just a tiny detail about a character, not their whole personality.

4 episodes now. I'm sorry but what the hell happened by the end of episode 3? They were ignoring each other and…
No it's just that you're a little dense and can't interpret the events correctly.
They weren't dating yet so there was no need for them to be up each other's ass every single second.
Just because they shared a drunk kiss doesn't mean they were already committing to a full blown relationship.

Besides they were high all the time and still confused about their feelings. Jae Won was drinking with his other friend and so was Ji Hyun, they have many other relationships besides each other you know?

They are also a hoobae/sunbae they couldn't be together the whole time without raising suspicion, their trip together caused many rumors.

Your inability to understand how could other people like something you didn't shows how you're not as smart as you think you are.

The crazy fans of Semantic Error made the rating drop, They don't accept that their bl is average and has nothing…
I don't get why both are being compared neither why its specifically Semantic Error vs The Eighth Sense.
They're completely different shows, there's nothing similar besides the fact they're KBLs.

7/10. I dropped this drama back when it first aired because of its random editing and its still true after rewatching.…

semantic error and other kbls really TRIED hands down best bl ive ever seen from korea
I love both and I don't think they're comparable. Completely different story lines and different messages.
Why are they being pitted? Semantic Error tried and succeeded in what it was meant to be and so did the Eighth Sense.

I'm not gonna lie that I just watched this because Netflix kept recommending it to me.
If I knew what a gem this was I'd have watched it sooner.

High budget manga adaptation, that's all connoisseurs need to know.
If you're not a connoisseur, I meant to say that you can expect high quality japanese ingeniosity.

1.Why won't they cover their hair in the kitchen though, I can't imagine the amount of hair their guests found…
Because covering their hair would both add unwanted realism and kill important visual communication cues.

Kitada's fluffy fringe represents his cute, naive and unexperienced side, when he changed hairstyle to mimick Asakura, his personality also changed.

Asakura's volumptuous hairstyle represents his imponent experience as a chef and his confidence. During moments of weakness and vulnerability, his hair was limp and had no volume.

This is definitely one of the best Japanese dramas I've watched. Even though I've seen a lot of people say that…
I can't stand these uncultured people complaining about over the top acting. They're definitely J-Media illiterate.
