I personally thought the writers failed her in the sense that she became the reason for wars.
All her strategies failed. The best she could do ...was to do some damage control. The tunnel she made was used for bad purpose, the sistet she sacrificed for betrayed her and taunted her...the land that she wanted to protect to fulfill her grandfather's dream ...was broken by her uncle and cousin. All in all, her family had many villains that betrayed the ML's family many times. That weakened her character

Had to reply because its the worst review of the drama that I have read. Its misinformation for those who are looking for genuine reviews.
The writer wrote the ML and the sister as villains in a cliché script which was meant to mock many of the cdramas we have seen in the past. Those scenes are funny to people who can identify that they are parodying certain highly dramatic dramas. Jeez!!

In the drama, the real character of the ML is not known to anyone...not even to the FL who is surprised by multiple changes in the script. His character unfolds slowly.

Its alright....but not as good as the cdramas that had same concept. People who have seen this genres for years...feel that 8 is decent ranking for it

He isn't even the guy from the script...the sister isn't even the sister from the script. Jeez...what are people going on about? The whole meta part of the story...ya'll have eaten up

You have to understand that NH is not actually the NH from the novel that she read. You are confused.
The whole point is that the WRITER WROTE HIM LIKE A VILLAIN...but when she entered,she found that there were loopholes in the story because NH isn't actually some character she read in the script.

The NH in the world is quite misunderstood and he is none of that. Infact, Even the sister isn't the sister in the script. OMG YA'LL...THIS IS SOO BASIC. HOW ARE YA'LL NOT GETTING IT?

No...this is a new genre.. villains to heroes 🤣

Then I will suggest story of kunning palace to you. In that, the FL is actually a villainess who gets a second chance at life. The ML is also a grey character. Its an interesting premise. How both these flawed characters navigate the cruel political wars is interesting to see. Maybe ...that's your genre. But, let me just warn you that none of the characters are idealistic....they are super flawed and realistic

Its a good thing that romance isn't a big part of the drama... she's soo plain. Every othet female character is soo interesting...especially that one from the bureau

They have taken the cdrama model...but no kdramas can have the amazing culture that chinese genres portray from wuxia to xianxia...and the sheer diversity in the culture/different dynasties is also amazing to see. Historical kdramas with their homogeneous culture and little history fade out in comparison. The costumes are also boring to me.

Splash splash love love is the only one I liked ... but that was yearrrssss ago! I watch less and less kdramas every year and this year, I replaced almost all of my kdramas with chinese ones.

Because those dramas are actually set in realistic historical settings....this drama on the other hand, is a modern historical wuxia script. So, they have taken liberty and the writer has written out english in the drama. Lol

Especially the part where she rants about taking liberal arts because she was terrible at chemistry....

I could totally relate to her. I was terrible at chemistry ...tried hard but couldn't remember it

Its a comedy and I have been watching kdramas for years...I have lost all interest because of how western they have become. Chinese dramas still preserve the essence of chinese style of comedy and the whole fun genre...being fun.
This FL...I like her! The actress is great at portraying a commoner who doesn't take the script too seriously.

The mom is a drama lover like us. A shipper at heart

The original script has no meaning now. It was full of the drama clichés and they were parodying other dramas (ehich makes it funny). The reality is different

I personally love the migration dramas.... Its a new world 🌎 and there are no bounds for creativity.

I love light dramas like these and I desperately wait for them. After all those serious xianxia and wuxia, finally I get something amazing like this with a HIGH REWATCH VALUE
