To me, Hong Min Ki had a larger and more attractive screen presence than the lead guy. They should make him the lead of second season. He has some plans as well

Are you American bruh? Emmys have been shitty since many years...let alone international emmys. Lol! The most average artists have been awarded from my country...and you think I should congratulations this below average show for a nomination.

Emmy isn't the same as international emmy. Pretty average and below average shows have been nominated for it (depends on what suits American political narrative and who are American allies) Secondly, even the original EMMY is an AMERICAN award which has hit record lows in recent years, in case you didn't know. Thirdly, who told you that emmys is the best award? There's a reason I chose ditch american shows, especially for romance, drama and romantic comedy genre. So, to answer your question, yes! My standards are high. Let's say, its closer to Golden globes than Emmys but I don't look for western validation of asian content in general. ..actually, for any content from non american ally countries in general

They have deliberately given it the ANIME effect. Its overdramatic on purpose because the genre (action comedy) and the slow mo suits it quite well

I mean, overhyped and a mediocre actor isn't the same as a "bad actor". Besides, that drama is the worst psychology based drama I have seen my entire life and I understand that people are used to low quality of content when it comes to dramas...but damn! Even the production quality couldn't save that drama for me. What especially didn't help is the fact that I had seen Shutter Island right before watching that sh**. My god! The God Awful overacting made me drop it. LOUD ACTING ISN'T GOOD ACTING.

I can't believe people are saying KSH isn't overhyped 🤣 Wow! I mean, I am not even gonna address his controversy because that's irrelevant here but he's just not a good actor. Firstly, dramas in general, don't have the quality of actors and writing that MOVIES BRING in Asia. Asian dramas cannot touch the level of big screen cinema....so a lot of these actors are overhyped and play superficial characters that tickle the fantasy of women. One in a thousand drama has more to offer...but its extremely rare.
1) SAME TYPE OF ROLE - cold on the outside and puppy on the inside. He has always been in his comfort zone
2) The only time he cane out of his comfort zone was in the movie Real and BOY OH BOY...how badly did he f*** it up.
3) He gets overshadowed by real good actors in almost all his dramas . In his first drama, it was Jun Ji Hyun, in Queen of tears, it was PARK SUNG HOON. I didn't like its okay not be okay...but even there, his performance seemed lackluster.

Bollywood and Hollywood are actually pretty great in terms of acting and writing talent. The industry is dead because of NEPOTISM. Its equally there in korean industry and I can see the beginning of their slow death. You will see how IDOL ACTORS are almost untouchable and are given multiple chances to act despite bad acting. The moment you point that out an army of PR protectors and psychologically immature people come to theit rescue. That's how it began in Hollywood and Bollywood. Mediocrity through and through.

Hollywood and Bollywood STILL, to this day...make better content than Korean ON THE BIG SCREEN. Its actually the TV and Romance genre that lead to the popularity of K content. Honestly, I feel like Chinese dramas are takinh over now and with their mythology, ancient philosophy, diverse culture and 2 major industries, they have a lot to offer

LOVED lighter and princess. His traumas, insecurities and toxic traits and willingness to change everything represent reality of a child that grows up in that type of environment. This drama can't compare to that. Its mostly a fairytale. Yeah...I also loved TFF more and the only character I loved in HL is Sang yan
