The thing is, we’re not asking for a realistic portrayal—we want someone who defies the odds and wins. Otherwise, what’s the point of being the protagonist? That’s why, when you read the original novels, you see women who are driven by ambition, with romance taking a back seat. But c-ent? They clearly don’t think a woman can carry a drama unless romance is front and center.
