The Chinese title 墨雨云间 means between ink rain and clouds.
I really don't understand how they're choosing such different English and chinese drama's titles. Why English title can't be just a translation from chinese title?
XFF's family name is A'Li so people, so people close to her family can call her that. And in my opinion XH 100 percent sure she is XFF -- he confirmed it in early eps. They even showed us that he saw her as XFF before her death.
Did they really show us a scene of JL openly watching how XH take off his clothes? Finally a normal reaction for an adult? I mean even in modern c-dramas girls usually are screaming and closing their eyes if they see even a bit of a skin.
Guys did you see that ? The Double drama is in probable jeopardy 😳. NO NO NO NO ! Please leave the drama alone…
I hope they trim the comedy parts, not some serious moments. Those 2 maids can save a lot of screen time, but that means to shuffle a lot. Why can't we have TV version and "director's version", like with euro/americans movie.
That scene was awesome! Not sure if that came straight out of the novel or the screenwriter added it. Kudos to…
You're cool! Apart from my native language I know only English. When I was a child I was in love with Harry Potter. At that point only 3 books were completed , so I found out a world of fanfiction. That way I learned to read in English. But it's more like passive skill for me -- I'm way better in reading and Listening, than in writing and speaking. So my goal is only to learn to read in chinese. Never dream of speaking it.
The director has no sense of humor. He should avoid comedy.
But he is really good with balance -- we still watching this drama. religiously I'm just sad because it could've been be as good as Love Like the Galaxy.
Fusing comedy in a drama or movie with heavy elements like thriller, action or even horror is really popular in…
Maybe that's why I can't really watch kdramas. I tried a lot of popular ones, but failed all the same. The governor’s antics actually was okay for me. He is so cocky, which is perfect. I like when villains don't show anger and just do things while confident in their own power.
the director trying to lighten the heavy story by putting comedy is sometimes unnecessary, it leaves a bad taste…
Yeah, and we surely have funny moments without all that "cheap comedy" like main couple interactions with words. So he CAN be funny that why, why is he doooing that.
I'm in a real love-hate relationship with this drama. I mean I hate these comic parts but I'm in love with emotional scenes. And they're doing them one after another! For example when Ye Uncle returns home: some stupid preparations, shouts and over the top facial expressions first, perfect reunion scene with grandma and XFF's memories lately.
Ai Mi is too young, she is lack of charisma to play character with deep layer of emotion. She need more years…
It makes sense about Oh my Emperor, but it also makes my own statements more true. Because that way Ami was even younger, when that drama was filming .
Actually fans were weapons in Japan and China. I read a good article about it but not in English. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_war_fan…
Do you personally know chinese history or are you just talking about some other parts of the world? Just curious because sword fighting can be sas different as sword.s are If we are talking about european swords you surely can't do a thing with a fan. I didn't just made up a part about using a fan against the sword.

So in modern china 16 year old can be intimate on screen with so many adults? For real? I just can't imagine it with modesty of their dramas. Oh my Emperor was released at 2018, Zhao Lusi birth year is 1998, so she was 20. The Great Ruler was released at 2020, Ouyang Nana birth year is 2000. So I can only agree with A Little Thing Called First Love, which was released at 2019 and FL was born in 2002 and ML born in 2001. A story is about 14 years old girl...
I thought how she knew he was up to something and negotiate to deduct one favour. and took the slash for him.…
She got hurt because -- "This was completely not because she had kind intentions and couldn’t see blood, rather, it was for her own consideration. If XH were to die here, she would also have no way to live." And she was close to him because she didn't see any XH's guards and assasins knew that she was with XH, so the safest place is near him. So if he dies, she dies.
