Next is TWOT. Many people say this drama isn’t doing well, and honestly, that’s expected. Why? Because the producer and screenwriter are not professional at all.
They’ve never produced a solid drama before TWOT, so how could the outcome be good with such an unprofessional team?
But despite that, the drama still has many international viewers, and CZY’s character Li Zan is definitely being talked about. (Of course, if you compare him to Duan Jiaxu, it’s not the same since that performance was truly his own but still, Li Zan made an impact.) And let’s not forget, MDL isn’t the only platform discussing this drama. Let’s take a look at other platforms as well.

- TWOT Ep.1 is the most-watched, ranking #1 on iQiyi Philippines’ official youtube account with over 4M views. TWOT Ep.2 comes in at #5 with 2.3M on the same channel, and surprisingly, Mr. Bad Ep.1 ranks #3! with 2.4M.
So basically, CZY’s dramas already occupy 3 out of the Top 5 most-watched dramas on iQiyi Philippines. (No HL on iQiyi! Okay?)

- According to Huanwang Big Data (as of June 20, 2025), TWOT ranks #1 as the most engaging contemporary drama in terms of loyalty and view frequency. (I’m not exactly sure what that means—I’ll try to upload the image later.)

As of May 2025, here’s the CVB rating inventory for post-90 male actors (born after 1990):

- DNAD ranked #2 with an average CVB rating of 2.014

- Handsome Siblings ranked #9 with an average CVB rating of 1.188

So, both of his CCTV dramas are in the Top 10 among post-90 actors.
And if we expand the scope to include actors born after 1995, DNAD actually ranks #1.

Yeah, if they want to talk about data, then let’s talk about data. I’ve been collecting it in case anyone comes across this and reads it. But let’s not talk about HL because some people like to say, ‘Oh, it’s only a hit because of ZLS,’ as if CZY wasn’t even in the drama and ZLS somehow had chemistry with herself lol (Don’t get me wrong, I love ZLS, but some people act like CZY wasn’t part of the drama at all.) Basically, they’re trying to say HL isn’t CZY’s achievement. Fine then, let’s talk about his other dramas!

Exactly! He’s a man of action! doesn’t talk much, just gets his job done while those around him, like his agency, aren’t doing theirs properly.

Personally, I never had anything negative toward his female lead.
After all, without the FL, how could we even have a romance drama in the first place?
She’s an important part of the story, just as much as the ML is, and both are needed to make the drama work. There’s really no point in trying to pit them against each other or create unnecessary fights between the leads.

I just want to support CZY in peace. To be honest, whether someone gets first or second billing is ultimately part of business negotiations because many C-artists negotiate for their position all the time. The frustrating part is that every time an issue arises, the rumors always seem
to come from the actress’s side, painting CZY as if he’s unwilling to accept second billing. That’s simply not true, he has already accepted second billing in dramas with Li Qin and Jiang Xin, his more recent projects.

Now with this drama, the situation only got worse because Yu Zheng decided to air everything publicly on Weibo. That not only dragged CZY into unnecessary trouble but also harmed his own artist, WJY. Who in their right mind would do that?
It’s damaging to both the drama and the cast. Instead, he twisted the narrative into “a woman being taken advantage of” just to fuel online hate against CZY, fully knowing that some people without a second thought would take the bait.

Those on Reddit who believe everything they see online and start hating on someone they don’t even know are just an IDIOT!!!. I repeat.
CZY himself has never said a word or posted anything against anyone, yet he ends up getting all the hate as if he committed some kind of crime. It’s so unfair how easily people jump to conclusions without knowing the full picture and target people who just only wants to do his job.

And to make matters worse, CZY’s agency never steps up to clarify or defend him, which leaves him as an easy target every time something like this happens. With no official response, people just believe the rumors and spread them around, making the situation even harder for him.

It might explain why CZY seems a bit lifeless on set compared to his previous dramas, but because he’s a true professional, he still does his job properly. He confirmed to star in this drama, and even with all the trouble surrounding him, he didn’t run away. I really admire that about him.

Exactly! Everyone should just move on, they’re both doing well in their lives (if you know what I mean). The drama has nothing to do with the actors’ personal lives.

I read on Weibo that FH episode ranked third among overall Hello Saturday’s episodes this summer with a 0.7X% rating 😊

Many C-netizens praised Cheng Lei’s acting in Shadow Love where he plays three different personalities.
I haven’t watched it yet because I don’t have time for long dramas, but I think it’s definitely worth checking out just for his acting.

By the way, I kind of like his makeup in this drama, he looks so mature as an emperor and it really suits him. The costume isn’t perfect, but it looks okay.
I haven’t seen much about the setting yet, so I’m looking forward to it.

I saw a rumor on Weibo that this might come out around the end of September, but I’m skeptical. They still have two other dramas to air first and today is already September 7.
Plus, there’s been no official announcement which is typical for iQiyi, so I’m keeping my expectations low.

😅 Amnesia is used a lot in C-dramas, but I hope the overall story will be good and refreshing. 😊
