Princess Xiyang role so far is just to piss off her brother. She is too blinded with her love for XJS . She only…
She’s going to get a reality check. The way she behaves is a result of how she was raised , overly protected and sheltered, with little understanding of the real world.
Princess is such an annoying character . Her character needs reality check asap 😁
She’s so naive because FSG has been overprotective of her from the real world ever since their mother died. He also blames himself for how she turned out, believing it’s his fault she’s this way.
OMFG HE'S SWALLOWING HER AS IF THERE'S NO TOMORROW ALSO THE HAND PLACEMENT I'M GOING INSANE 🥵 https://x.com/FatedHearts2024/status/1974689264631009290?t=HZa9mG0z2V9wDJ8aT_ycnA&s=19
Instead of posting how much I appreciate CZY’s portrayal of FSG in Fated Hearts on the drama page, I’m putting it here because I don’t want to mislead non-fans with my biased opinion 🤣 yep, I’m definitely biased!
But honestly, I’ve found myself replaying his scenes in Fated Hearts a lot more than I usually do with his previous dramas. I do rewatch his past dramas over time but the amount of rewinding I’m doing for this ongoing drama is unusual for me.
1. Feng Sui Ge is a ruthless prince, cold toward his enemies and certain people in the palace whom he knows have bad intentions. But he softens completely when it comes to his sister and brother, you can clearly see how CZY shifts his gaze and tone the moment he interacts with them. He’s protective, like a true big brother.
The way he speaks to his father is layered with sarcasm, pain and lingering resentment. There’s still unforgiveness in him — especially about his mother’s death and the presence of the stepmother — but despite all that, he still shows respect toward his father.
What I love is that CZY doesn’t just give everyone the same cold, blank stare like many "emotionless" male leads often do (sorry, but it’s true, sometimes I watch them and think, “Hello? Are you even human?” 😂). CZY adds layers, FSG reacts differently depending on who he’s speaking to. There’s actual emotional nuance in his performance.
2. He commands his soldiers with respect, not arrogance. His tone is firm but never ruthless, he doesn’t treat his own people harshly. The only times he raises his voice are when the palace tries to force his sister into marrying the second male lead (which he strongly opposes) and when FYX bites him a little too hard which actually made him snap for a second 😂.
That’s why, even though his soldiers keep their distance out of respect, he never comes across as a toxic or red-flag leader who yells just to show power. He leads with presence, not fear.
3. His fighting scenes are impressive, fast, clean and effective. No exaggerated hand movements or flashy effects just real sword work and sharp choreography. Sometimes it’s even just his bare hands, but the movements are precise and powerful. Big praise to the director for the fight scenes, they’re genuinely well done.
There’s actually a lot more I want to say, so I’ll be adding more here as the drama goes on 😄
I explained the reason for this in the comment below. You can check it out.https://kisskh.at/people/14352-chen-zhe-yuan#comment-23673992IQIYI…
Even when things are going well, haters will still hate him. 😆 If you're truly a CZY fan, you need a strong mind to stick around!
He gets insulted all the time, for this and that, every time a new drama of his comes out, there's always criticism.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t have a strong team behind him to promote his work. His agency is seriously lacking. If you follow Chinese entertainment closely, you’d be surprised. To boost a drama’s popularity, you often have to pay over 100 marketing accounts to create buzz. A good PR team that works closely with the platform can really make a difference in exposure but CZY doesn’t have that support.
The drama itself is good, and there are positive reviews from Chinese viewers, which is a bit surprising LOL. The only downside is that the story isn’t very new for some people, so they’re not very interested in watching it.
Especially since a lot of female-centered dramas like female-general theme air back-to-back during the cold season, when people see the synopsis, they might think it’s just the same old thing and decide not to start watching.
I know some people said they cant feel the chemistry. But I am in the opposite side.I feel their opposite attraction…
We can’t force people to feel the same way but when I watch this clip, I really sense the tension between them. I just hope the drama captures that well especially in the kiss scenes and doesn’t just cut away right when it gets good.
iQIYI is getting on my nerves again. Just like with his previous drama on this platform, there’s no proper promotion or even a decent fixed screen this time. I honestly hate having to pay them just to watch him. If it weren’t for CZY, I wouldn’t spend a single cent on this platform.
The drama itself is truly good. Even non-CZY fans are leaving positive reviews on the drama page. We don’t need to keep praising his acting there every day there, let his performance speak for itself. Real viewers can see the quality for themselves.
I can’t help but wonder, if this were a Tencent or Youku drama, would the promotion have been handled better?
Anyway, speaking without bias, I actually like this drama more than SAF4. His character is portrayed really well, and I’m glad to see that international drama fans are enjoying it too.
I really love his character! He’s funny, loyal to His Highness and even a shipper 🤣🤣🤣FSG’s guard…
He’s really the character who can break my intense emotions while watching. During the intense scenes between the ML and FL, the moment he shows up, I just burst out laughing 🤣
The scene in episode 2 gave me goosebumps definitely a red-flag sadistic ML who doesn’t mess around when it comes to enemies, even if they’re female. Considering it’s set during an ancient war where life and death could change in the blink of an eye, we really can’t judge it by modern standards. But I can understand if some viewers find it a bit troubling.
Totally irrelevant to the plot which I'm enjoying, but I'm being seriously distracted by the lipstick/gloss on…
I can’t say I like Zheyuan’s makeup here, in my opinion, it’s a bit too much. They really shouldn’t have overdone it, not just his lips, but his whole face 😑.
He also blames himself for how she turned out, believing it’s his fault she’s this way.
Definitely more than I expected from Li Qin 😁

I really don’t think we can compare the level of madness in that epic series.
FSG’s guard guys are such a blast to watch too.
