As far as I know. Almost none. I’m not sure about Handsome Siblings, since it was a CCTV drama, but when it aired, it seemed quite popular among international C-drama fans on Netflix. I heard people talking about it so much that I decided to watch it there and I ended up really liking it.
HL was adapted from a famous novel but it had a limited budget and the original director even left the production. It also didn’t receive much promotion in China, yet somehow it became a worldwide hit. So no, I definitely wouldn’t consider it a big-budget drama 😂
It seems like CZY and WCR have started filming more scenes together again. WCR looks so exhausted, she must be seriously overworked. Poor girl.
CZY seems to be trying to cheer her up. As always, he doesn’t act distant or overly reserved around his female co-stars and tries to keep the filming atmosphere light and comfortable.

A lot of productions seem to spend more money buying trending topics and creating hype on social media to make their dramas look popular and attract investors, instead of investing that money in the actual quality of the drama 😑
In the end, the platforms may not even earn that money back because they’ve spent so much on manufactured hype. Just look at how hard iQiyi’s stock fell earlier this year, you can’t keep fooling investors with hype forever.
I hope after all these unfairly treatment from iqiyi hope he does good modern project with tenecent or youku 🤞🤞🤞
