I've been into K-dramas before, but not so much K-pop. Since they’re big names, I know a bit about it. At least their companies always hype up and promote their artists when they release an album, boosting sales and ensuring the quality of the songs and MVs to attract more fans. Unlike iQiyi, though.
After I lost interest in K-dramas, Chen Zhe Yuan was the first Chinese actor I really paid attention to. I used to wonder why he starred in so few dramas, despite being really good at portraying his roles (that was my thought before I became his fan). Then, I looked into his profile and noticed that his fans were always talking about how bad his agency is. At first, I didn’t really care and thought it was a minor issue.
But after becoming his fan, I realized I was wrong. The big problem with CZY’s career is his own company. It’s so unfortunate that the first Chinese actor I adore is under this company... so sad.
it really just seems like he was trying to rid himself of blame and come out unscathed. if you ask me he's much…
I totally agree!!! The CEO needs to reflect on his role. It’s not just TWOT, many of iQiyi's dramas lately have been lackluster compared to before. It seems like they don’t care about investing in quality content anymore. Why is that?
If they want to attract more viewers, the CEO should ensure better quality control from the production team. Plus, they need a strong promotional team to market their dramas both domestically and internationally.
Chinese dramas are entering the international market and competing with K-dramas, and honestly, K-dramas aren’t as popular as they once were. However, with the current quality of C-dramas, it’s still hard to compete with K-dramas.
Chen Zhe Yuan seems to be too naive. Otherwise, he would have left this company already, as they’re directing…
Oh, that melon...I haven’t been on Weibo for a while. Actually, I want him to take on another modern idol drama, but with a better team this time. However, if it’s with iQiyi, it’ll probably end up the same. 😩 😡😩 😡 I still wonder whether they’ve even learned. He’s already taken two costume dramas in a row. It would be better to switch things up. The reason he’s still with this company might be because of his long-term contract. Otherwise, I’m not sure what to think anymore either. 😞
iqiyi again, you would think czy would have learned his lesson by now where this nasty platform is concerned.…
Chen Zhe Yuan seems to be too naive. Otherwise, he would have left this company already, as they’re directing him nowhere. The agency should be helping him find a good production team and solid drama scripts, it shouldn’t be the actor’s responsibility alone. But this agency fails in every aspect.
Sometimes, with all the chaos surrounding him, I wonder how he’s come this far... lol... is it because of his outstanding acting and looks? I don’t know. China’s entertainment industry has so many actors, and it’s not easy to be in his position right now without the right support. And I don’t see any 'right support' from his agency or iQiyi, considering what they’ve given him. So, I assume it’s his own efforts alone that have brought him to where he is now.
By the way, I just found out about iQiyi's CEO. So he’s aware of what happened and finally spoke up? At least it seems like he cares about the outcome, considering how careless he was in choosing the production team for the drama, right? Why allow them to take on such a serious drama with a new production team in the first place? Did he really learn anything from this? Does he realize how much effort CZY put into it? Can they treat him better from now on?
Whatever his next drama may be, I truly hope he gets a great production team, a talented scriptwriter, and a skilled director, unlike this amateurish production team, as we all know. The chaos surrounding it has made me not want to think about this drama anymore because it frustrates me every time. CZY put so much into it, but they backstabbed him, wasting his time and potential as the great actor he strives to be. My poor baby CZY 😭😭 Even with such a terrible script, he still delivered outstanding acting, just like he always does. So he is already done the good job for his part. That is all the matter for me.
Chen Zhe Yuan, you are a great actor. Don’t let the negativity around you take away your passion. With time, you’ll only grow stronger and better. True fans will always accompany you on your journey.
twot douban score 5.4not too bad actually lol. I was expecting much worse considering. sword & fairy was rated…
I thought it would end up worse than SAF4, especially considering the poor production from TWOT's team for CZY. However, from my perspective, SAF4 is much better in terms of script and storyline. After episode 12, I became completely immersed in the drama and ended up loving it. I don't know what to think about TWOT anymore. It still breaks my heart, thinking about how much CZY invested himself in the role.......damnnnnn
I know TWOT just ended but I miss watching CZY on screen already 🩵🩵🩵
LOL, from all this TWOT Chaos, the good thing is Che Zhe Yuan's acting, He is still outstanding even they gave him the shitty producer, writer and production team.
I watched his Mr. Bad and my thoughts were like — .. hmmm it must be that look that makes him popular— ....…
Actually, his most popular look is Duan Jiaxu in Hidden Love. But as you can see, all of his characters are different, Xiao Wudi in Mr. Bad is totally different from Duan Jiaxu, as well as Li Zan. Chen Zhe Yuan really brings each character to life and re-creates them every time through his acting. 😊😊😊

The funny thing is, Hidden Love is still at #1 after almost 2 years 😁, while TWOT is at #3. The long tail effect of Hidden Love is too strong! It’s the result of a great director and a skilled production team that created a high-quality drama audiences love to watch. 😢😢😢
this is so unfair 😭 he even created ig account just to promote that drama...he worked so hard he deserve better…
This production crew should be on the blacklist. If possible, I’d put the producer of this drama and iQiyi on the blacklist too! 🤣🤣🤣 They hired an inexperienced team to produce it and didn't even control the quality of the drama after post production. So they’re the ones we should blame the most.
What is the opinion of Chinese audience about the drama btw, are they liking it? Heat index is decreasing after…
You’re absolutely right! Some might say the acting isn’t good because of the poor quality of the production, but the real issue is that the script and pacing need to be handled well to ensure they match the actors' performances. Plus, the director has to guide it in a way that makes the audience believe in the story.
Congratulations #DarkNightAndDawn drama for joining the 2024 Kuyun single-day full-end broadcast volume exceeding…
👏👏👏 DNAD has an excellent and professional production team (of course, it’s a CCTV drama, so it’s bound to be high quality), unlike some inexperienced team provided by iQiyi to CZY. 😑 It’s no surprise the result is so good, especially with CZY appearing in about 70-80% of the screen time in DNAD 🙃🙃🙃
No matter how many rounds had been broadcasted , DNAD will be gold content DNAD episode 1 got rating over 1% tonight…
Does DNAD re-broadcast again on CCTV8? CCTV really love this drama, how many round is it already? 🤭 🤭 And it is still broke 1% ...Wow impressive. Even the new drama is struggling to break 1% on CCTV.
Because DNAD has the excellent production team !!! CVB 2+ rating is no joke.
CCTV please cast CZY in more project with the good production team again 🙏🙏🙏
It shows how much he cared about this drama, but the end result is so disappointing, I am just watching it because…
Talking about it, it's really sad... The production team doesn’t deserve CZY’s efforts and is wasting his times and potential 😡😡😡 Honestly, I’m still watching because of him too.
I am about to move on to the next drama LOL....but it is still under iQiyi 😭😭😭
