Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is there another name for the "nine layer purple" flower? like an english name or the latin name? i tried googling but only got results for the drama/novel and not the flower/plant itself.
Did anyone else watch the kiss scene from the opening credits 15 times in a row the first time they saw it? The shot composition is just gorgeous & this drama is so consistently visually stunning.

I felt like things started going downhill when they started deviating from the novel's plot. It got better when they got back on track but then it got meh again. They had too much time spent on the 2nd leads at once.
SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING: i think it would have better if they didn't do that "redo" of killing the resentful woman, and had just managed to kill her while saving everyone. This would have allowed more time to flesh out the "real world" ending. & I do wish there was more build up and payoff of of Zi Qi being the author. Like I said I did like it, but it was so sudden.
The first majority of this drama hooked me while it was still airing, and it even got me into binging a ton of other cdramas while waiting for it to finish. But I felt let down by the 2nd half of the show (excluding the ending- which i actually liked for the most part).
I haven't watched a whole lot of cdramas yet but this has instantly become one of my favorites. I originally gave this a shot because I was looking for a romance to watch and this has that genre listed, but it leans much more into the family feels. (There is still the love story between the leads- but it doesn't exactly feel like a "romance")
While there were some plotlines I felt didn't need to be there, I liked how well everything progressed. For the most part, motivations, actions, and consequences made sense and fell into each other and there was nothing that felt too distractingly contrived.
As far as acting and production go some could have been better but overall I don't have any major complaints. I will say there is an audio queue that they use in tense situations that sounds excactly like the start of Circus by Britney Spears and it cracked me up every time i heard it
Does anyone know any good shows that also have a male lead who is in high school and fights bullies?? (It doesn't…
If you like anime and haven't seen it yet, Wind Breaker is pretty good so far and a season 2 is already confirmed! (talking about the JPN anime/manga, there is a KR webtoon with the same name but it's unrelated and I have no idea what that one is even about lol).
I tried the first ep not really knowing what the show is about other than knowing it's really popular. I guess this is supposed to be "black comedy" but the acting and background music often felt at odds to me, like the scene at the end felt acted in an emotional or serious way but the music wanted me to think it was actually a comedy scene. Not for me, especially knowing the ending disappointed a lot of watchers.
Is it better? becoz i cannot watch 32 episodes.. N ya i'm loving Lovely runner waiting for last 4 episodes
It's because of broadcasting rules that happened for a few years (assuming they are no longer in effect since I don't see it anymore). If I recall correctly, they made rules that certain broadcasters couldn't interrupt shows with ads anymore (or something like that) so to get around it, the companies just cut the episodes in half. So they were technically separate episodes and they could air ads in between them.
This is when she pressed the button on the watch, which had just become the time travelling machine as Sun Jae…
I think this would be a decent explanation. Since she's already in the past it would take her back to the likely furthest possible point, being the day they first met (or perhaps even earlier but we'll have to wait and see).
I know a lot of ppl are sad and shocked after EP 13 BUT what Sol did...it HAD to be done. She had to break the…
I agree. He is always going to fall for her when he meets her, and subsequently will want to protect and save her even if he knows he will die at the killers hands eventually. From Sol's perspective the only way to prevent that is to make it so they never meet. People are mad at her but she's only human and if someone you loved died multiple times due to them protecting you, you would at least consider doing the same that she did given the chance.
I definitely have a lot of questions and I think the pacing could have been better but I liked ep 13 and I'm crossing…
I for one don't actually mind if he lost all his memories. I think it's pretty cute that he's fated to fall in love with her no matter when or where they first meet, whether it's as high school seniors or adults in their 30s.
I do hope the next episode will explain what exactly she changed/messed with in the past, because if it was *only* the first meeting and nothing else, then many other things wouldn't make sense. Particularly how she avoided the accident and how she became friends with Taesung, since they weren't friends in the original timeline. They waited until the very end of the episode to reveal that Sunjae is alive but never met Sol in the new timeline, so I do think we'll get more explanations next episode. This show has a habit of doing that already.
I definitely have a lot of questions and I think the pacing could have been better but I liked ep 13 and I'm crossing my fingers that the next 3 episodes wrap up nicely.
Edit: I also disagree that this drama in going in circles too much or that it should have been shorter. I actually wish it was a little bit longer. Do I find it frustrating sometimes? Yes but in a good way that keeps me watching. It would have been boring imo if everything had resolved this episode.
June 30 confirmed!!!!!!!! Though it’ll go by a different name, ‘R U Next?’ Source: https://www.allkpop.com/article/2023/05/hybe-x-belift-labs-new-girl-group-survival-program-r-u-next-begins-filming?fbclid=IwAR08jsI62IYwGNLRPf3oJP2MnSNn4rWqa5ZicJYVBrRpGTi9vOQdh-IiIC8_aem_th_AUxyeO2VEM4nL-l-R-uyE5-O9YuiEar3qfU9k3VPw6aijmumELFC1nfcr-fFesID6Aw
The reporting about "R U Next?" has stated that this is not meant to be I-LAND 2, it's a different program.
the main character of the original webtoon IS a "pretty boy" lmao
That plot sounds vaguely familiar but it's not Weak Hero, as others already said. I'm a big fan of the webtoon and enjoyed the drama a lot, none of the issues I have with the drama adaption have anything to do with the acting, in fact the acting is one of the highlights, especially Park Jihoon as Sieun.
this show is still rigged. They can change the name of the show, change mentors and create a new image but we…
Not necessarily. Positions can drop because people prioritize other contestants over ones they view as "safe", especially with each round of voting being limited to a smaller number of votes each time. Benefits from rounds can also affect rankings.
