What is insane about excusing it as an ‘only fiction’? It is a fiction. Laws don't punish this. Laws don't punish stealing politicians and killing your animals either, at least in most of the world. Is it surprising that a fantasy is not punishable if those deeds aren't either? And have you seen how laughable some punishments for the real deal are? On top of that, very rarely (or at least I don't watch these) in audiovisual project means on a symbolical level rape a rape. So you can only throw stones at it if you read it literally (and it is your right to do so and in any other way you come up with, yes) - but the interpretation is up to you. Then again - if you really hate it and it makes you feel sick, or have trauma or issues or experiences with it, you shouldn't be watching it in the first place (probably - I do know people who had experiences and still go into watching/reading it).

Hua Yong aka Huang Xing starts to get more and more gravitas in the story and I LOVE. IT. and DID want to see this happening since trailer + going to rewatch trailer, however now, finally, F.I.N.A.L.L.Y. with brilliantly emotionally set scenes of Sheng Shao You aka Qiu Ding Jie it finally unlocked my brain to start pondering and considering not only how Hua Yong, but as well how SSY's changes in character might make him so much more interesting if handled well (is already making him, to be transparent here). Again we unlock a well of possibility – possibility to show that in no way, form or shape is a submissive or bottom person less important, valid or weaker, and to actually show the process of realising you (I) on this side, HOW WILL I DEAL WITH IT now *knowing* *I* am considered the weaker now? What will I do, how will I cope, what ARE my options now? What do I lose, but what will I gain with this new role? So I really hope it will not land again in the hysterical scream noodle of denial and not wanting to be on this end of things, but I have a hunch it won't.

there is this quite thick layer of quality of this series that might be at fault; btw i am not among those saying they dont have it, but i do se why ppl might have difficulties reading it as such
i think its importance to not-be present heavily depends on the story and dynamics, but this is a perspective not from human or representations in drama and audiovisual projects, nor social perspective of any kind, nor moral or philosophical (more or less so) perspective
