I highly suggest you watch The Princess Man, it was the drama that made audiences feel she's excellent in melodramas. Some find her character here annoying at first, but her character here grows so much protecting her lover and her principles at all costs.
Before I forget – the first 5 episodes of this drama – Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won shined so much.Afterwards…
Another reason that she doesn't get praised much is although she's the female lead, the drama centers more on the male lead's story. Hence the title: "Innocent Man". Though I have to add that more recent fans who watched this may have praised Song Joong Ki only perhaps because they don't remember Moon Chae Won's name (because Song Joong Ki has reached different level of popularity especially after Descendants of the Sun and Vincenzo).
And if he's proven innocent? The give the Baeksang back? Great idea.
No, for me he doesn't deserve it at all. If you watch the actor ompeting against him, the actor against him acted as King better in his nominated drama than your idol in Moon Embracing the Sun
yes! it has action scenes, but not as much as 6 flying dragons. but the drama is really excellent.
Technically, Six Flying Dragons is actually the prequel to this one since this was made first. You might get confused as Shin Se Kyung is also the female lead here, but her character here is totally different from Six Flying Dragons and has no relation to her Six Flying Dragons character at all. You'll see Yoo Ah In's character Lee Bang Won (portrayed by Baek Yoon Shik here) as an older King at the first few episodes challenging his son King Sejong/Lee Do.

Yeah, but its annoying that drama (high school bullies bullying a poor student) is still well known and popular today whereas almost no one has heard of The Princess Man (about how the love story of the main couple is affected by the fact that their parents belong to rival political families and how they and some other characters try overcome what bad fate is given to them).

yes never get his acting. Also Baeksang robbed Han Seok Kyu's award several times, including this year.
I didn’t watch his drama this year, but Han Suk Kyu was definitely robbed by this pedo guy way back 2012 Baeksang. Both played Kings in their nominated roles, but Han played a King who often debates with himself whether the choices he made for his country was good and his king character was more complex than pedo’s King. All pedo King did in his drama was cry and cry and cry and cry (his crying was so unnatural too). Pedo King’s younger version played by Yeo Jin Goo played the character better, in comparison Han Suk Kyu has Song Joong Ki as a child actor but he was able to elevate his Kingly performance more. I’m not even gonna mention that Tree with Deep Roots is so much better than Moon Embracing the Sun (whose best parts are the child actors) and Han plays a better character too. They should really take away pedo guy's award. This has annoyed me for years and only now I can express this thought of mine because this pedo King was way too overrated.
