The short drama is a sin itself! There is no volume to the plot. This one truly had an interesting story, but this 8-minute drama just ruined everything!
Well, even in a short drama format, it is entertaining, but could be far better.
The recurring evil guy trope and kinda far-stretching ending are problematic, also FMC falling for MC feels out of nowhere too.
Well, overall entertaining but could be so better!
why does people even care about this type of thing, too much nosy? But I am glad to see The Sound of Your Heart will get a movie. That series was amazing! heck, I am gonna rewatch it now 😆
This is only a feel-good drama, nothing after that. Every episode feels like it is going to open a new door for the new interesting plot, but meh, it just ends right there as a feel-good episode. This drama contributes to nothing except how maternity leave is not taken seriously in the business world. I guess this drama was to tackle the issue of the declining birth rate? (If not, there is no single point to this drama.) No chemistry explored, no conflict explored, personal development, yes, but it goes outside the premise of the drama itself.
To be honest, I don't know what I watched. Slice of Life? Well, it tries to show a daily life of an attorney, but meh, too unrealistic to be honest.
It was boring. The only gripping part, or one that will get you interested, is the importance of maternity leave and what women go through, even in today's age, and how women themselves are not supportive of it either in the business world!
Yes, breaking the contract is always a bad thing. If she were solely responsible in the contract and the contract…
Thank you for this, your reply made me more curious and I kinda research myself and this agency and studio relationship seems to go more deep than what we think. Primarily studio seems to be a brand of the actor/actress and in early career agency control thems and unless the actors become famous or have more power in the industry the agency. It seems it is kinda hard to for studio to be independent unless you cut the ties of with the agency.
Also its another primary function seems to be "tax". The income tax for the person is way too high in China so they use this as business entity to pay tax. There seems to be some scandal related to it recently too.
Well overall it seems to be the actors brand so once they go independent they have "studio" which they can fallback on.
The writing was all over the place, like others said, this series is rushed, the episodes up to 10 are good.
Namkoong Min, as always, is awesome in this one, too! It is a good watch only if the writing wasn't messy, this would have been another awesome series. They should not have shown any chemistry, as that conflicted with the plot they threw at us out of nowhere. Well, there had to be a backstory, so that was just another conflicting plot.
Even the recurring comedy gag was out of place, if the plot is followed or per the later episodes.
Overall, I liked it, but it could have been way better! I loved the cast here, everything was perfect, just the freaking writing of this show is so annoying!
I don't get this at all, Zhao lusi has signed a agreement which she has failed to uphold and now is trying to…
Yes, breaking the contract is always a bad thing. If she were solely responsible in the contract and the contract she has with the agency did not mention they will share both positive and negative gains, then sadly she is solely responsible in this case.
If it were just a verbal agreement kinda scenario, then she might get even further in trouble due to a Defamation case that can be filed against her, if she could not generate enough convincing proof to back it up.
The only thing I did not understand is the studio part, like how that is controlled by the agency, and it seems like the agency was able to control its funds too!
This case does not seem simple, well, I hope she gets proper justice! She has gone through a lot!
If she is legally bound to the contract with the endorsement and filming, and the agency was not responsible in that contract, then this will get messy. If the agency were like in a verbal way, saying "yes, we will take care of it" and did not take care of the penalties and such, then it might go to the case of fraud, but I don't know if she will have a legal advantage in this case.
This one had an awesome and interesting story going on, but then that story went out the window. It did try to come back to it, but it was no longer important and started to follow your generic historical drama route.
The "low rent" product soaps are actually more profitable in Korea for TV audience. Many household watches these…
To come in "prime-time" drama (the one you're familiar with), you generally have to be lucky or a so-called "A-lister" actor/actress. Yes, they can charge around 100M+ won per episode if they’ve got star power. In a soap, they might get 10M+ per episode, but those can go easily up to 100 episodes, while in prime time, you're lucky to get up to 16 episodes, and your appearance in each episode depends on the script and story. In daily soaps, the production is small and fast, and you get more airtime. So, becoming a household name is easier, which will make them an A-lister, and these people generally won't play in daily soap drama!
Well, at the end of the day, it really comes down to the local audience’s preference and which format they connect with more.
Dude, you will need to stay away from the Korean (or world) entertainment industry if plastic surgery gets on…
nah using your logic you will not find any well established actor actressess in any countries industry that you will like. Like your preference it is her preference to chooses plastic surgery!
If you have not watched any old Koeran TV soaps, you will not be able to watch this 😆
This drama has everything! When I say everything, I am not even kidding, all the tropes you can name will present to you in the first half 😆Just with a little modern twist!
For me, it was like a door to the past, I haven't watched something like this for ages!
I would never recommend people to binge-watch this or something like that. This type of soap is great to watch, like you watch a series on TV, like 2 episodes per week, something like that. Otherwise, you will be frustrated to the max when you watch this😆
I have a question about what has to happen in the life of a Korean actor to go from a drama like Mr. Queen to…
The "low rent" product soaps are actually more profitable in Korea for TV audience. Many household watches these daily and follow it rigursiously.
Only in streaming sites where the number of options are so many and the production cost is way high for the small episode numbers, these TV soaps doesn't work there.
Honestly, I don’t like her. Was she not confident in her own face?
Dude, you will need to stay away from the Korean (or world) entertainment industry if plastic surgery gets on your nerves. There are now a handful of people who have not done any work on their faces in the entertainment industry and much more in Korea, where plastic surgery seems to be norm for all people.

(there are some CGI issue even if it is low budget one they forgot to CGI in few places 😅)

Seems like this type of plot is very famous with the female audience, seeing the comments.
