If they turn this into a "game" genre now, then I am gonna drop this. The plot should not go towards that much of a shitty direction after all this........right?
EDIT: I just saw it is a remake, and reading the summary, it did not copy 1-to-1, but not the "game" genre. Please! Don't make this Disney's attempt at Squid Game's clout chasing!

Without concrete evidence, it would be impossible and career ending move if they were not able to prove it after reopening the investigation, and then that BS happened which kinda closed the door. All they had (not devective) was his indirect confession (except his wife). There was no proof for his indictment.
That last scene was the biggest disappointment. If the series ended with MC shown like some sort of hidden evil guy, after what he witnessed. It would have been so much better. Till the end, he was shown how "good" a person he is, even though he did not surrender earlier.
I feel they overused the "wow/ah" aspect of thriller mystery. Every 20-30 minutes, we are circling back, making it more confusing with each episode. It was a poor take on a thriller.
Also, freakn MC, he is a god-level simp character! In every episode, we feel like he will redeem himself, but once we hit more than half of the series, it becomes a concrete fact! He accepts it himself.
This entire series is about simp male(s) and an unfair situation faced by women in Korea in business as well as society. Just sprinkle some thriller and mystery aspect to it.
There are so many plot holes, like the first part of the plot itself is a plot hole, you are going to interview a guy who will be responsible for your survival, and you don't first and foremost see the picture or "face" of his? If the wife is investigated, the husband will also be investigated, isn't it? At least verify his location more than some guys, yeah, I saw him hours later in some place! BLACK BOX! Everything is surrounded by that! But this series just doesn't care about that aspect at all. The investigation, you have so many cases where a new suspect is formed, but nope, they are never even explored. Wife's alibi, reporter, etc, etc.
Last confession was even more BS it was just fan service to the viewer. This series does not deserve its 8-star rating!!!

She is underrated and has huge range of acting!
