I prefer the story and the actors when they were just children. I don't see any similarities between the young adult FL and the child version. When she was little she had gentle eyes, and now that she's an adult she has frightening eyes.

You can still watch the drama, but I expected more... I give it a 7/10 rating because of the excellent acting, but the story... it was very confusing and didn't live up to expectations.

The plot felt like it was drifting into new territory without giving enough explanation or buildup. It didnāt feel like the story was anywhere near wrapping up - there were too many emotional threads and conflicts still hanging. And then the final two episodes arrived, and everything ended in a way that felt abrupt and strangely disconnected.
What threw me off the most was losing the two male leads so suddenly. The trio had been the emotional core of the entire story, so watching both of them die without the narrative giving their deaths weight, purpose, or closure felt jarring. Their endings didnāt seem to tie into the themes the drama had been building - they just happened. Meanwhile, she ends up being the only survivor from the group. And instead of bringing clarity to her journey, her survival left me even more confused.
I kept wondering what the message was supposed to be. Was the drama trying to say something about fate? About cycles she canāt escape? About her being ādestinedā to keep suffering no matter what she chooses? If that was the intention, it wasnāt communicated clearly. In the end, the emotional impact that the drama seemed to be aiming for never fully landed. The final scenes felt open, but not in a thoughtful or symbolic way - more like the story dropped its own threads at the last minute.

I donāt really know how to explain it, but I expected a lot more from this K-drama. If you love full-on, classic dramas, I do recommend it because youāll probably enjoy it. But for meā¦ it just ended up feeling tiring to watch. āLove in the Moonlightā is beautiful, but kind of exhausting (at least for me). The king, especially, was all over the place, unstable, inconsistent, and apparently believing only in the man who had dethroned him. His motivations never feel truly solid, which makes the ending even more chaotic. The plot twist: the two children born on the same day, was actually great. I loved that reveal and the way it reframed everything. But the ending still felt too open. We have no idea what kind of king heās going to be, why he fought so desperately for the throne in the first place, or whether he wanted to rule for good or for something darker. It leaves a lot unanswered. Based on the way things unfold, Iām pretty convinced the former king was killed rather than imprisoned, probably a political murder to make room for a new ruler. But again, the show doesnāt make anything crystal clear. Overall, The Tale of Nokdu is a mix of strong ideas, great chemistry, and a messy final act. Itās entertaining, and the characters are memorable, but the ending left me both intrigued and confused. Still, itās a drama worth watching if you enjoy historical K-dramas with plot twists, found family vibes, and a touch of gender-bending comedy.

Theyāre in an āabusiveā relationship. The FL knows exactly how to manipulate the ML, and sheās been doing it since they were kids. Is it her fault? Not really. She grew up in a terrible home with awful parents, and she developed this manipulative personality as a way to survive. But does she really need to drag so many people into that world? The ML had a bright future ahead of him ā he probably wouldnāt have suffered so much psychologically ā but unfortunately a child walked into his house and everything changed.

I'm pleasantly impressed with this K-Drama: clever characters who are not easily fooled, romantic relationships that grow slowly, the story doesn't drag and the action is fast-paced...
