The canal is a very strong symbol: it starts as an unfinished project destroyed by war and mistrust, and ends up being rebuilt as a sign of reconciliation and unity between the clans.
This is the kind of drama I’d recommend if you like slow-burn political romance, marriage-of-convenience, clan conflict, and symbolic storytelling.
That said, it’s not exactly my favorite type of drama, because I usually prefer something more emotionally intense, the kind that really hits hard and stays with me for days after watching it. But I still think this one was very well written, with strong acting, good casting, and a very solid execution overall.
So I give it an 8.5/10 because it’s really well done, even if it doesn’t fully reach the emotional level I personally prefer.
I really wanted to like this drama more, but I never fully connected with the main couple and couldn’t feel their chemistry. For me, the story only became more engaging when the second romance started developing and especially when the second male lead’s deity arc began. His character transformation was the most interesting part of the entire drama.
I feel like this is a vampire drama but with horror, comedy, steamy and fiction all mixed together 🤣 the person who wrote this must have been on some kind of crazy trip 😵💫🚬 ML has a lot of chemistry, but I don't think so much about FL... but I'm only on episode 6... but I did see someone talking about some kind of dragon 😆
I saw this drama on TikTok and it has good ratings... is it worth watching? No spoilers please! Is it more romance, comedy, or drama? And are the characters smart?
Finished Pursuit of Jade and I’m still a bit confused about the ending — I couldn’t tell if it was a different timeline/what-if or just something symbolic about fate. I did like the idea that they were basically destined from the beginning, especially with the whole “mothers already knew each other / arranged joking future marriage” detail. I also really liked the male lead’s friend/companion (the funny one, I can’t even remember his name 😭), he honestly deserved more screen time. I kind of wish we got more closure for the side couples too — I was lowkey expecting a proper ending for him and the princess, like marriage or at least confirmation they ended up together. Same with the ending overall… I think the main couple ended up together, but I’m not even 100% sure. And I also wasn’t sure about the female lead’s future — like, did she step away from everything to rest, or did she actually have a child? The drama didn’t make that clear to me. Also the “fake brothers” storyline was wild — the older one stayed cold and controlled until the very end, and only when he was dying did he finally let go and act out of love instead of control. The younger one was just completely unhinged the whole time. Overall, I didn’t dislike the story, I just wish the ending gave a bit more clarity and closure.
I had to replay that part of the episode to understand if he was really on the ground. I understand why she didn't let go of his head, but I still don't know how she wasn't scared. But okay, it's war and they're used to it 🤣
I started to imagine: okay, maybe it's possible 🤔 because he focused all his strength on his hand - through martial arts - and managed to isolate the pain in his neck. He even managed to make a super clean cut in the neck, where he went through the skin, tendons, muscles and bones 🤣 and let's not forget the knife he used, which was tiny!!! 👀 so far, this has been the most absurd moment for me because it makes absolutely no sense that it's real 😗 buuuut I'm still enjoying it, but I laughed for a while after that scene because it's quite unrealistic 😂
Hey, do u remember when he falls in love with her? Cause I am on ep 2 but idk why he keeps her with him when he…
hahah 🤣 Initially, his only goal is to protect her because if she dies, he dies too... He doesn't care about her well-being; she's a tool he needs to survive... He is a person without fears and without emotions. But then you start to see changes in him and realize that he stops protecting her out of self-interest.

He's a great actor; I could see the change in personality just by looking at him
