Leads relationship building is the best yet I’ve seen in a drama. I’m so glad they left out unnecessary misunderstanding…
ANIO!!! plots are the most dumb plots possible because only weak people live by ANIO!!!!. The anio!!! plots create episodes, for sure, but it is always super extra DUMB bc you see ignorant people willingly walking over the cliff and incapable of fixing their mistakes. So I am glad there are no anio!!! plots here well not too much :)
Se Ri talks like she is close to a relationship with Professor. It’s weird how she told her mom it’s unrequited…
I dont think so :) there is so much to clear up first before Se Ri can get close to Professor.... :) Se Ri is stuck with her mommy and daddy and her financial dependence on them....and first and foremost, her own childishness.... PLUS he is emotionally frozen PLUS he is very professional and will avoid dating a student to save his career PLUS her scary mom and anyways the time ticking bomb potential scandal about a professor dating a student.... PLUS Professor hates Sylla dad for the past misdeeds ... PLUS the new Sylla dad attempt to kill the brewery now... PLUS the timeticking bomb of Professor's ex married to a politician and causing scenes.... aaaaaahhhh Se Ri and Professor is going to be a roller coaster difficult
One strange thing is why Eagle family didn't accuse two thieves in stealing money from them? Why they were not…
I think the brewery is small and has no money, also they got 5 kids to feed, no mom, and no time to waste, so I dont think they would pick a legal battle... WHat shocked me is that Professor and Baldy did NOT tell FL what happened, and she did not ask them what they knew... FL is really dumb for business and politics.
Going from the subs, she started to work with different tasks on the brewery and probably offered to take care…
Yeah I would agree with this, I dont think ANYONE knows .... On another note... is he so scared of women bc his "mother" died after giving him birth... ???
Ep 24 I'm glad Gang Soo actually accepted the job offer!Especially since the security job would've been too far…
Honestly I think Soldier lied about why he didnt get the job with Bom. I think he is just saying it to cover up that he cannot move to the military company bc the brewery is in trouble. As for Bom... she likes him but he is shy and also careful... she is THE SISTER of his friend. A little too dangerous to get too close to and mess up. No wonder he is scared. Esp since he has no women experience and is super extra shy. Lets see later WHY a big guy like that is so shy around women.
Does the writer have an Unrequited Love Kink?So frustrating to watch both ZumbaPair and Seri+Professor, the men…
That's life, honey.... love can come slooowly, or not at all... that is all ok. We all know Dancer is super immature and Professor is FROZEN ICE. And, I do think that the professor is sometimes tempted by Se Ri - remember tying her shoelaces, basically getting really close to her in between her bare legs and looking close up at her face? - but he is keeping himself under control because she is a danger item, his whole career will go down if he gives in to her. SHE IS JUST A CHILD TOO
I loved this kdrama for its bubbly refreshing feel and interesting plot and acting, and also cultural education, I saw some good food :) and lifestyle. I wish there were more episodes showing HOW they changed. The villain was so good! sooo creepy. He was a great example of how hideously hidden sociopaths are. This article scientifically describes him: https://www.recoveryplusjournal.com/2017/10/the-empathy-trap/ Yes it is hard to sidestep a sociopath like the Chef, but that doesnt mean showing his ***total control*** over ML and FL till the end of the drama!!!! for 10 episodes.
The script writer almost killed this lovely kdrama by dragging out the ML and FL "naive dumb phase" ..... all the way to the 9th episode for ML and 10th (last) episode for FL.... So we suffered watching really dumb ML and FL, esp FL, and then the ending came waaaay too fast, waay too rosey, and not clean.
Heo actor carried the drama with his positive and bubbly outlook and general vibrancy and aliveness (and the resulting good looks, nice skin and sparkley eyes) so when he "saw the light" in episode 9 it was a relief. Watching him being a dumbo and getting swindled all the time was just painful. At least he learned about the snake. He NEVER CHANGED THOUGH, he was the same old Heo getting killed for speaking up to the very end.
Watching the FL was painful to the end. FL character was so immature, so negative, depressing, so abusive to Heo and so as$ kissing to Chef, and I felt suffocated after watching her dumb snide comments and her total OBLIVION AND IGNORANCE past episode 6. Before ep 6, it was ok bc we had to see who she was, and she was a nice sacrastic pesimistic contrast to Heo, .... but then we should have seen her and Heo change and balance out, and it never happened. FL never became a positive contributing character, she stayed predominantly a negative, energy sucking parasite, to the very end. FL stayed a small child to the very end.
I wondered where FL took showers because Heo looked sparkley clean and she looked like she hasnt washed her face or hair, taken a shower or changed her clothes for MANY weeks. Joseon inn owner looked cleaner than Eun Sil. eun Sil looked GREASY FILTHY. Most importantly she was a brainless moron and trusted the good looking rich Chef blindly, and questioned Heo ALL THE WAY TO THE END. Bc she is a pion of "authority".
Even when FL got a little more aware in ep 10 (FINALLY!!!! omg!!!! and only bc the detective on his own told her everything!!!!!), she was still super dumb and numb and NEVER REALLY CHANGED. She did not trust Heo and called him "Mr Homeless" to the end. Also, on a side note, we never got to see her out of her greasy hair and clothes. I felt an irresistible itch to dunk her into a warm bath and really scrub her well. I wanted to scream till the end of ep 10 any time she called Heo "Mr Homeless" even in public. It was sooooooooo dumb. FL character was brainless.
The drama was telling a suffering story of two really dumb and naive ppl against a well-camouflaged villain, which was ok for the first half of the show, to build the suspense, but then ... the characters never changed. They were lucky someone told them about the villain, so they took some action, but there was NEVER a deep inner change.
the amateurish screenwriter needlessly dragged THAT vibe till the last episode, ep 10, and then put some quick artificial happy ending bc the writer apparently had no idea HOW the characters could act to resolve it on their own. The whole ending is dependent on the detective suddenly on his own will VOLUNTEERING to tell it all. But that is ... cheesy,
Everything ended on such a rosey positive note so fast and we didnt get to see HOW they got there.
The Detective turned 100% good, which was ..... cheesy. FL was sooooo DUMB that it was painful to watch, then SUDDENLY! became enlightened. Heo's return to Joseon was ... well... waaay too fast. Giving that greasy sarcastic ignorant scared NUMB AND DUMB FL a nice guy at the end was ... sooo cheesy and doomed to failure. Eun Sil was still the same old scared, dumb, non-commucating negative, scared, ignorant, numb person. That relationship was going to fail asap. Also, he is Heo's reincarnation but he doesnt remember anything and is NOT Heo, just like the Chef is not Joseon Gwa...., Mi Sol is not Joseon Ma Chang, Eun Sil is not the Joseon inn owner, etc. The Chef became less creepy towards the end, unfortunately. Somehow the actor wasnt able to be creepy anymore. Esp his Joseon ending was ah so not creepy. We got to see a sociopath reasonably going down, as he was lying till the end, knowing there was no Heo's body to condemn him, and yeah WOULD have gotten out. But somehow the Chef actor lost the vibe of that super nasty villain and felt more like an amateur issuing orders to kill. In the beginning, he was convincingly and CHILLINGLY evil 100000% and he was the creepiest slimiest scariest monster villain I have ever seen. He was evil reincarnate and looking nice. Wow I was scared of him. He was the reason why the show was so convincing. He lost that hideously slimey cruel hidden vibe by the end of the drama. The actor just "turned off" and that was too bad. Perhaps he was instructed to, since everything at the very end had to be ALL ROSEY... ? The Mother jumping up from bed and immediately plugging into full time life, is .... cheesy.
The ending was too rushed and incomplete. it wasnt cheesy to the point of puking, but it was not good either. It was like ... hey, you are cheating, script writers!
I suspect that the screenwriter has had bad experiences with sociopaths , but apparently the writer never defended against one of those and has no idea how to make the characters grow up, change, defend themselves and stand up for themselves. THIS SCRIPT WRITER NEEDS TO LEARN TO WRITE BETTER. First, need to learn to live better. Their life experience is what we saw for those 10 episodes, and then a fairy tale rosey artificial at the end about how the screenwriter WISHED that it could be possible.
I love this series but I TOTALLY hate when FL acts as a brainless moron like in ep23. The dumb loser FL is so common in kdramas and that is really one of the biggest flaws of kdramas. It suc## to watch that kind of belitlement and putting down women. The typical sexism in Ep. 23 just made me scoff.
So CEO Ma is surrounded by creditors and she CANNOT tell them what happened. The Chairman had to save her. Then she cannot even explain to him what happened. She did not call the reporters or someone to come up with a media strike-back.
WHERE IS HER BRAIN? DOES SHE HAVE ANYTHING IN HER HEAD???? HOW REALISTIC IS THIS BS THAT IS EP 23???
KDRAMAS KEEP ON USING THIS KIND OF BS SEXIST PLOT ALL THE TIME. THe FL is dumb and ML saves her. AND HE SAVES HER ONLY BC HE "OWNS" HER, that is his woman. **** SO THE UNDERLYING MESSAGE IS THAT A WOMAN MUST ROPE IN SOME DUDE AND TRADE HER SEXUAL FAVORS FOR HIS BODYGUARD SERVICES AND GENERAL PROTECTION IN LIFE. **** IT IS SO DISGUSTING. I dislike it. Like women are some kind of helpless children that can get freely abused and they can survive only if some guy stands up to protect them. Yeah that is probably the reality in super sexist Asia but hey isnt it time to break that old stereotype.
CEO Ma a little bit saved the kdrama by treating the Sylla dad properly, but still, SHE NEVER SHOWED ANY SIGN OF LOGICAL SKILLS, it is all emotional conversation that is totally devoid of any business or logic. It is irritating. She is a CEO and she has to outgrow being a clueless idiot nice adjuma from the market who does NOT think with her brain bc she probably doesnt have any brains
They are both adorable. This is actually one of my favorite series and I never expected it to turn out that way!…
Please dont remove the Hairdresser. She is from the planet Salon, where Vanity rules. She is a good woman in spite of it and she loves Dancer Brother and is actually taking good care of him, so ... I cheer them on :) They are the funky fashion idol type peeps and will never be 100% mature and that's ok :) She is pretty decent now :)
I’m hoping they’ll get more screen time once they start spending more time together
I dont think Bom as character and actress is suitable for romance. I can barely hear her speak. She needs to get more muscle on her and more energy to actually act romance.
I’m hoping they’ll get more screen time once they start spending more time together
Nah. Bom is a broomstick, so skinny and frail there wont be any romance there until she gets enough ENERGY to even kiss a guy. I think she is so skinny and weak she would faint from one good kiss. SO wait on their love story until she ... goes to a gym or zumba class or something LOL I cant see Bom in any kind of a good romance. She is too quiet and everything about her is too invisible and boring. She as a character needs to mature some and the actress too needs to someone energize before we can see more action. I can barely hear her speak. I cannot imagine great romantic scenes with such actress.
ML righteous naive state and FL sarcastic negative depressing insecure naive state is ok as the starting point. But then the story should show them outgrow it. By the middle of 10 eipisodes, their dumbness should have started to clear out. AND IT DID NOT. It is time for ep 9 and there was no change. IT IS FRUSTRATING.
And yeah if Heo goes back to Jaseong that is proper, since Eun Sil is super extra immature and does not deserve / cannot sustain a partner.
The villain was so good! sooo creepy. He was a great example of how hideously hidden sociopaths are. This article scientifically describes him: https://www.recoveryplusjournal.com/2017/10/the-empathy-trap/
