Well it is Bom's personality as character and also the actress acting it... she is skinny, quiet, shy and low energy... She gotta go to the gym with him to pump up some hormones and enable some muscles strength and stamina so that she COULD jump on him. I like the scene where Professor Brother puts his foot down and tells the Pretty Puppy to get lost. It is nice to see different and stronger sides of him. So far he was either a dad or a robot on automatic, he was always "professional" and logical. I think this is the first time he showed a strong emotion and first time he put his foot down and first time he did not behave as a professor but as a PERSON, and for that matter, as a BOY. So ... he feels comfortable around her :)

Soldier Brother is about 15 years old and too shy...and his lady is just too... skinny shy and subtle quiet.... a wall flower..... Until she becomes more athletic,... nothing is gonna happen. Dancer is about 12 yrs old and very ... emotionally immature... and his lady is getting there being more mature for him :) and Professor was frozen and overstructured for so many years, and yeah, his lady is just a Pretty Puppy who has never been away from her Mom. The Pretty Puppy has lived "in a box" totally sheltered and OVERWHELMED by her overbearing mother who controlled her every move.... wow speak of lack of privacy and lack of boundaries!!!!! that Pretty Puppy lived like a person in a scientific experiment, like some lab researcher was monitoring her growth and studying her every move... so let's see how the heck she can escape the golden cuffs jail she is in.... sold into marriage... She has no income so she cannot leave that house. The Professor can really get hurt if he mingles with his student too much. The student is cute in that mini skirt and looks like a woman but she is only 10 years old!!!!
Ha Ni's mom is selfish beyond imaginable, whatever she wants to do, she DOES, whatever looks easier at the moment, and she always cries and causes scenes wanting to do something easy at the moment. Wow what a spoiled brat, and 1000% immature nasty inconsiderate person!!! she couldnt even handle Ha Ni's crying and spent 10 mins just crying herself as if Ha Ni is a doll not a live baby.... What an ignoramuc. She got nice legs in tight pants and is more "out there" sexually so I can see why the Professor fell for her...
Episode 1 of this drama is deep, it talks about social change and not everyone has the IQ and/or the heart to want to think about that. If you do, you find it interesting . Then there are really fun plots and psychological encounters... and good food :) and Korean history.
Both FL and ML are rebels against societal injustice in their own ways. Also I find this kdrama super educational about Korean History and Food.
Also, I find FL is an amazing comedian. It is hard to find a FL who can act. This one makes her character so complex and very interesting. A sarcastic scared but still warm, desperate but still hopeful, little girl so far. Let us see her grow up.

nd the Villan is a perfect, scary, really scary, slimey monster in disguise. That saying "wolf in sheep's clothing" cannot describe him. The villain is a masterful SOCIOPATH, read "The Empathy trap" article online. He is a monster and hard to detect his evilness as he is so PLEASANT and SEEMINGLY CARING AND VERY SUCCESSFUL.
The story is a real life story that happens to all of us. I am writing after ep 6. FL grew up enough to ask tough questions, but a smooth lie throws her right back into trusting anyone cool who was nice to her.... and ML has not grown up even to register that he is feeling fear and remembering ppl who tried to harm him.... and the villain has not changed either. But ... they will ... since the diner has no customers.
THE ISSUE IS THAT ML AND FL ALWAYS WERE SHELTERED and so they could afford to be so clueless. ML already paid for it with his life once. FL now lost the protection of her mother. Now when they are pushed into reality with the empty diner and hospital bills, lets see what happens :)
These characters were all in their mid-30s. I'm not sure very young counts here?
wow out of everything I said, you just got stuck on calling people in 30s "very young." Yeah I stand by it, imo they ARE very young. ALl main characters in this kdrama are about 12 years old. So to cut it short, I do not have the time to deal with the petty nitpicky and irrelevant comments like this. If you have something really important and artistic to discuss, write it up, I am a total fan of discussing character development and technical details of production, and if you cant talk about deeper stuff like that, then forget it. OK? I am really busy. Bye.
For me, this drama started as very-young-and-confused adults frilly and rather stupid show.. FL who is drunk, the ML who is a robot, the hormones flair when a young guy with a body shows up in the boonies where FL has been hiding for 6 years... and SHE IS HUNGRY! and he too gets hungry.... after a while... so... And her female friend was disgustingly immature... I thought something could happen if KiSe's wife really hit on BakHo, but she didnt...
AND THEN SOMETHING HAPPENED. The little loud girl somehow grew up and the little robot boy so,ehow melted and IMO the end is just amazing!!!! HOW THEY TALKED TOGETHER AND COMMUNICATED AT THE END WAS A MASTERPIECE!!! they matched!!! Like the last few episodes. Her fire and forgiving and his rational matter of fact lets solve it apprach worked like a charm! They really got a good life together! A was lmao when in the scenes where he gets evicted - coming out in that black robe LOL THat was hillarious.
I thought that his life at the very end was too boring for him, he didnt like being a host in the USB house.... I am glad she got a better job... and yeah the lab did NOT fall down bc she wasnt there... so BakHo ***did*** fire here for a good reason :) Overall, this drama turned into something much deeper than I ever ever ever expected from a bunch of kids :) Ah yeah and KiSe and his wife also got a great ending imo, they grew up too.
