I agree. There is also Great Doctor kdrama where FL happily moved to Goreo era, and an innovative happy career…
Yeah you said it well, the King is not really invested in ruling and he can easily leave. Kdramas are creative, they will come up with some ending that works. The latest fad of 12 episodes - to compete with the chinese cheap shorts and the global pandemic of brain damage and short attention spans - is really ruining the storytelling... yeah.. I like long dramas :) then all kinds of complexities get worked out
someone posted somewhere one post saying their Chinese is authentic to that era
Honey, I have no clue about chinese language history and the qualifications of the person who posted about it.... . and I have zero interest in finding out. I am trying to help YOU out. So I just told you what someone posted and he justified it with some explanations that sounded legit.
And now I TRUST that you will do your research on your own and inform the public about the truth - if you are so versed in Chinese language, then clear up this issue for everyone.
Why don't u wait for it to progress though? Like we all know this
Ok let us analyze a sentence in English. If someone says: WHY DONT YOU WAIT WITH POSTING THIS they are asking you to NOT post it, arent. they? So please do not lie around here, I am not buying it. And, I really dislike dishonesty, and esp if camouflaged as a polite backstab. I find it slimey. We part here in peace :) I know what you are like now and we do not have to discuss this any further.
Sigh!!! First night with the duke - U really think its an excellent drama 🥺 Sigh😰
I do :) Interesting how you wanted to shoot down my ENTIRE post bc of ONE kdrama you didnt like... How about the others.. ? Oh thank you for reminding me, I forgot to mention Knight's Flower.
Yeah ML looks slightly too buff for a 12th grader. But he acts well, looks great, and the drama is excellent. So who cares for the 12th grader look accuracy?
ML is a great actor, and he fits the role. He fits the boxer type, he is buff and seems like knows how to box. Also, he looks handsome and sexy and is a great eye candy. Honestly, I am glad to see someone who looks real rather than some plastic surgery "pretty boy". ML actor is a hot guy so that settles that. Yeah he looks somewhat older than 12th grader... but honestly, that is not a big deal, I can live with that tiny flaw in an otherwise excellent drama.
There are tons of wonderful kdramas with time travel and happy endings, very creative solutions... .... Great Doctor... Marriage Contract of Park.... King Eternal Monarch.... My Queen... First Night With the Duke... etc etc etc etc And time travel aliens like My Love from Another Star or mermaids like The Legend of the Blue Sea or goblins like Goblin or eternal plots like imugi from Haunted Palace Knight's Flower is not time travel but kinda is :) Haunted Palace too :)
I watched all these kdramas, they are warm and positive and have creative solutions for the couple to continue to be together....
kdramas are unsurpassed in creativity and sophistication of the plot and character development, certain warmth and tons of humor that makes it so uplifting and positive and FUN
Oh another one is First Night With the Duke... and if you like time travel there are tons of others..... Great Doctor... Marriage Contract of Park.... King Eternal Monarch.... My Queen... etc etc etc etc You might even try time travel aliens like My Love from Another Star or mermaids like The Legend of the Blue Sea I watched all these kdramas they are excellent, they are fun and warm and have happy endings with various creative solutions for the couple to stay together
There are literally Pressure cooker,Political betrayer,Sweet rice puff, Pajeong dish, Growth in their relationship,…
but ep 7 is a part of the competition, preparing for it.
It would be super BORING to just see the competition ... It is a lot more exciting to see the prep and the competition behind the scenes that led to the public competition This is a drama, not a cooking competition show :)
Spending one entire episode on finding someone to make a pressure cooker is one hour of my life that i won’t…
I am not sure how you missed that it was a series of events where the King is openly romancing the Cook as a very very gentle and caring and loyal lover who risks his life to protect the totally clueless 21st century bozo... Where he changed his ruling style bc of her feedback.... It is about his profound CHANGE
I’ve seen a lot of people saying this might have a sad ending. They usually base it on three reasons:1. Many…
I agree. There is also Great Doctor kdrama where FL happily moved to Goreo era, and an innovative happy career couple yuppie solution in King The Eternal Monarch, and many other kdramas have great solutions. I agree that this pair is best off living in the modern era, bc of her career and bc of safety for both
yes it is normal :) i still think he is immature, his chopping desires and cheonrog stuff are immature.... and his inexperience in love plays a lot in being immature in love too.... ... things like leaving the palace and risking his life to hang out with her, etc are all immature - but he is smart and mature in some other ways - he has a rare ability to self observe and adjust his behavior accordingly - he figured out immediately that he fell in love - and he learns fast... and will hopefully keep learning fast - or lose his life.. If it werent for the miracle of Chinese cook, he WOULD have been dead by now
I'm not sure what's going on, but these days the ML choice for K-dramas is poor.
In what way is this ML a bad choice? The ML here is a great actor. Why is he a poor choice? Also he fits the boxer type, he is buff. Also, he is handsome and sexy. Why is he a bad choice? Bc he looks older than 12th grader? Yeah somewhat he does... but honestly, that is not a big deal, Honestly. I can live with a kdrama with that little fault, it is insignificant. And seems like in later part of the drama it is about their adult lives.
young rae but will give up quickly as he saw she likes jae pil.
I understand the temptation.... . So I dont even know where those sites are :)
I did try it once. I went to one of those sites because someone mentioned it and I was curious. And then I realized that it totally totall spoils the fun, that what I figured out on my own was a lot finer analysis that let me enjoy DISCOVERING the characters and gave me more fun. So I never ever again looked for those sites :) I looooove figuring it out, the detective work and profiling is sooooo fun!!!! And I think a good skill for life. I am able to test my judgment of people and my ability to observe and intuit. I am accurate :)
Looking on those sites is like spoiling a surprise party :) but also I can see why you would look, bc if you are confused about something, you can easily check it there. When I am confused, I ask here :)
No official confessions means no progess ... see spoiler
The King is putting his life in danger to hang around the Cook and keep putting his hands all over her any time he can LOL I give him credit that he did not bothr her during that night out - that foxy of deep thought before he decided to put a coat around her.... - but he was holding her hugging her riding a horse with her etc any time he could..... he was all over her non-stop :)
He is immature so he put his life in danger to be around her and keep touching her :) but she has not stated his intentions and has not expressed any loyalty to her.
As far as she knows, he could be having a little fling for fun before he kills her. His past and the situation are SKETCHY.
...... Sooo... since he has not done anything officially yet that will give her confidence in his intentions and his loyalty, she has nothing to respond to except what seems to be looking like booty calls. She is scared to be in love although imo she loves him.
Living in Joseon is scary so she is like a scared kid wanting to go home to her daddy. So she is dampening any feelings she has for King bc she just does not see the situation as suitable.
That scene of her trying to grab the pressure cooker while people are doing a sword fight and trying to kill her adn the king having to risk his life to save her and she STILL chases the pot instead of running away .... tells you everything about her TOTALLY UNPREPARED STATE She cannot live in Joseon, she is a bozo who doesnt understand what it is all about and the King will be killed one day trying to protect her.... this time they were saved bc of such highly unlikely event that th Chinese cook helped them!!!! NEXT TIME THEY WILL GET KILLED. THe King is too immature and careless to put his life on line for her just to have a chance to hang around her and put his hands all over her LOL , and she is a bozo for safety, and he will die protecting her. He almost did, in ep 7.
She is scared to BE in Joseon bc it is so dangerous, she cannot handle swords and poisons SHE IS A TARGET TO BE KILLED AND SHE DOES NOT EVEN CONNECT THE DOTS AND DOES NOT LISTEN, that dude who helps her explained everything to her and it fell on deaf ears!!!!
she is a total clutz for politics, she doesnt understand 4th evil intentions and what 4th evil will DO to her, rebels trying to kill him, etc... To her it is like a history book but without understanding that her life is in danger... ..... she is scared of him since he keeps threatening to chop ppl up, including her...... .. .... and also her career and her dream is to cook for the PEOPLE, not for one king.... she needs to go back and work in a big restaurant.... ....and she wants to go home.
I doubt that she her love for him is worth staying in Joseon. Seems like she will ever adjust to the chopping in Joseon; and he too is in life danger non-stop as they prepare to kill him and he has nobody helping him... he made too many mistakes with that cheonrong thing, so really......
..... imo he will have to relocate to 21st century with her, I think, otherwise it wont work. She is just too scared there, the sight of blood sword fights etc makes her faint, she is just a LIABILITY to him in that era and will eventually cost him his life as he has to keep saving her and she is just not getting any better at it. I doubt that he can stop the killings in that era. So he gotta move to the future asap.
Well the King has not done anything officially yet that will give her confidence in his intentions. He is immature so he put his life in danger to be around her and have a chance to put his hands all over her any time he could... :) but she has not stated his intentions and has not expressed any loyalty to her.
