Why dont you write more reviews for C dramas you watched?

My absolute favorites in C dramas are Xang Shen 2016 movie and anything from Steven Chow from Hong Kong

I just tried watchign Double. I dont like it. It is too... I dont know how to explain it... too... cold. It is SUFFERING and lacks warmth. It is only about pain, I will try watching a little more from your list to see what is going on.
My favorite fantasy kdramas are Legend of Blue Sea, My boyfriend is a gumiho, Goblin, My love from another star, and recently Haunted Palace
But Chinese dramas just dont have the human feel warmth lightness and fun of kdramas. I will watch a few more but so far I did not find any I liked... I dont seem to be into it. It is just too... military... I cant explain... it is just not the right feeling. It is feeling of being stuck in painful situations without a way out and yes lots of drama along the way. Like Crouching Tiger drama - lots of pretty shots and nothing substantial

@Kannadin Can you please give us your list of C dramas that are as good as kdramas and even superior? I am curious. I have never seen one I really liked. Except two that were colab with Korea (My wife is a gangster 3 where wife is mafia boss from Hong Kong and he is a small kind korean gangster, and Making Family where the kid is from sperm bank and the dad turns out to be Chinese)

C dranas get high ratings but they are still trash :) I havent seen one that I like. They are just not as high quality, period

TH is a cold hearted criminal, a mafia boss who orders beatings and murders of many people, a bully to MY, blackmailing her, forcing her to do things she doesnt want to, and a psycho, trying to kill SC. yah he is young and handsome and so what? What does it have to do with his character? TH IS A MURDERER.
And when he gets annoyed with MY later, he is going to torture and abuse her bc he never thinks of another, he only thinks of what ** he ** wants. He is a mafia boss. He is a cold murderer.

Koreans went after american $$$$ and started making american-like dramas, and americans came in like Netflix and Disney and americanized the kdramas and made them trash. All their new dramas are totally americanized TRASH

what are the tell tale signs of american entertainment? Toxic hopeless stuck characters and no character growth, no communication, isolation between characters and slimey aliances that lead to demise , and always portraying some people who are not normal people but thugs, prostitutes, etc, and then covering up lack of script and content by either slow scenes of like opening doors and grabbing water - basically useless scenes - and lots of violence and sex scenes. THIS IS THE RECIPE FOR ANY AMERICAN ENTERTAINMENT
and it is intentional brainwashing, it puts people to "sleep" as it is MINDLESS

This drama is american style, we see stuck characters in toxic actions and relationships, and NO CHARACTER GROWTH. That is depressing and boring and that is why I and many other people do NOT watch american stuff anymore. It lacks meaning and content.

Kdramas are about CHARACTER GROWTH and this drama lacks any of that. Except the gambler finally coming home at ep 9!!!!! you had to wait NINE episodes to see that little bit!!!!

Also, this drama totally goes overboard with the kdrama trope of FL being a dumbo snowflake. THIS ENTIRE DRAMA IS BASED ON WEAKNESS, IMMATURITY AND STUPIDITY OF FL WHO DID NOT TELL ML, HER GANGSTER BOYFRIEND WHOM SHE LOVES!!!! THAT ANOTHER GANGSTER WAS COURTING HER AND BULLYING HER AND ADMITTED TO TRYING TO KILL HIM BC OF HER.

14 EPISODES MADE OUT OF THAT!!!!! The script is completely stupid. And I think this is intentional brainwashing.

Those who advertise Tae Hoon are just criminals and bullies. Tae Hun is a bully and a criminal and he will play with Mi Yong for a while and then discard her.
Seok Cheol is not an adult man either

The only real man in this entire drama is the policeman, but he is immature dumb to love the gambler sister, who is a snowflake. She at least came home. So at least SHE is growing. So maybe I will have a slightly better opinion of him, IF she proves worthy
