I agree with you, the comments here are a great way to see different perspectives and thus see more of the elephant in the room bc we all see different things... . I see tail, you see trunk, etc. You know that story?
Imo the purpose of reading and writing these comments is LEARNING, and it is learning about the art and the expression of it, about other people and seeing different things I didnt see, and also learning about myself. It is a great tool of self discovery. Esp when I have a strong reaction to something, it tells a lot about ME :) Also, anything I see or dont see tells something about ME.
And of course, how the art is made.
In terms of art, I am really interested to see how it is made, how it is put together, what exactly makes it work or not work. There are so many different pieces in making a video story...

Ah yeah SW father... he might be in for that determination. But I thought the main purpose of showing him so fast was to show he is DONE AND GONE and that he was always nothing. Paddy kicked him out.

why do you think he missed his chance? JaeIn will be done in that house soon for sure. She is faking it and will be done as soon as she finds what she is looking for... She is going back to DY... But yeah this is 100 episodes so ... it might not happen for a while. BUT if the drama is going to be really interesting, at least last 30 episodes SHOULD be about the two of them hooked up and fighting from that perspective too

yeah to me he looks like an English ... saylor of old, he reminds me of some Oliver Twist character, or slave driver, or something like that, or cowboys, his overly long shoes and his stance trusting his pelvis forward and standing with his legs wide open and then throwing his legs around. NO other kdrama character has body language like that. It is very old fashioned european body language of someone who stands with legs open - saylors, cowboys, slave drivers, etc

I wrote about what I saw so far. I didn't feel a strongly beating heart but isolated islands. Something is missing and that's why so many ppl complain they feel disconnected. I wish I could explain better what it is, I am trying to figure it out myself.

It is not filmed properly. It is not WARM or PRESENT. It is like.... life in slow motion, without mych content, we get to see their life in nitty gritty moments and the main tone is NEGATIVE, desperation, lack of communication. isolation between characters, certain DEAD END FEELING, In other words, it is trying to imitate amercian style movies, and thus lacks the HEART that kdramas provide. Wathing this is so blah - it doeasnt teach anything, doesnt resolve anything, it is just DEAD END , people living their lives without any porpose meaning accomplishment striving or even the very vasis - COMMUNICATION. The script is kinda lazy, so much time is spent just in their daily lives and interactions that have NO depth. Yeah this definitely is filmed american style and that is why it is so boring bland and shallow. It is missing the core of what kdramas stand for, which is***meaningful content *** and ** depth ** and **communication ** and " * connection *** more WARMTH

I m trying to figure out what EXACTLY it is

I just watched For Eagle Brothers ep 51 which has become this BLAH boring drama,
BUT just a few minutes of really excellent actor for Dog Tak bad guy character was the highlight and made it memorable, bc the actor is amazing. Paired up with the actress who acts his wife, they made some amazingly convincing, pull you in scenes. But it is HIM. When she is alone, it is not that convincing.
Then I watched more carefully scenes of Se RI, acted by a new actress who is famous as social influencer. She cannot act. Her facial expression is the same all the time, plus she is amazingly arrogant and cannot hug even her the love assigned by the script.

So how and what exactly they do, I am still trying to figure it out. But if are not feeling pulled in, it is definitely for a reason. What is it.. .is worth investigating :)

Aaaah that blue-pink dress of SJ sister... wooow and the blouse and earings with it....

The MUSIC in this kdrama is too .. harsh tacky overdone hysterical and takes away from the scenes. It is just too much. The music is like a frame for a painting - it is NOT the painting itself, and should NOT take attention away from the painting, but be there to show off the painting better

Scenes between Moon and Lucia are amazing, all smiley and happy
The lawyer with his legs... throwing his legs around like a cowboy or something... he is truly an evil character. He is acting it well

Ppl talk about "disconnected" - well change the music so that audience can focus on the scenes

WHY would rejecting 5K be "a halo"? Heck no. That kind of belief is bs. YOU TAKE THE MONEY AND DO SOMETHING GOOD WITH IT

It gets really weird and then you realize it WAS weird from the start, bc sex is associated witih VIOLENCE .... the ending is realistic..... ep 6 was weird like modern theater performance. But it lacks... something... it is about VIOLENCE and GUILT and BLOOD and KILLING associated with sexuality.... so .. the whole drama is like some chistian thing. Yeah like it was made by a born again christian or something like that... so much guilt blood and viiolence... DEFINITELY A TWISTED CHRISTIAN CHURCH VIBE

Today I am watching during day so I put the sound on high enough so for the first time ever I heard ALL background music. WOW WOW WO W I ma impressed.!!! The music for this kdrama is ***perfect*** it perfectly matches the acting and it is perfect music, high quality music, so it really helps the drama. Wow impressive. I will always have to watch it loud from now on.

yeah she is faking it LOL i am surprised she didnt crumble yet.
I am impressed with acting of Mama Choi.
Also, Paddy actor is great as a doting happy dude his mischief with his son is really fun to watch
I am actually impressed with Gi Man role and acting. It is like seasoning in a soup - he is that funky comedic character for lightening up the air. My favorite is him bringing YG flowers and punching in front of her office LOL or coming up from behind the sofa...

THe white powdered faces are ... well... not needed.... reminds me of Japanese theater, wearing masks.. I think from the Western perspective they can say they look chic, with slight suntan.
So I would QUIT those thick layers of white over the face. Pale looks ... sick

The fashion is amazing. Recently kdramas - so many - discovered MAUVE shades of pink/brown. Kumu had an AMAZING outfit in those shades. Jae In had a dress in those shades that was .... interesting... she always wear one cut ... then the light blue lace dress is wow - JI never wore such sexy lacy stuff. I was shocked to see how good SW looks in a brown stripes T.

Yeah a lot of stuff in this drama is about CONVERSATION and about psychological games and deceit... this is a phychological thriller genre. Personally, when I like or dislike something , I think a lot about it and try to figure out WHY. Personally, I dislike things that are fake. To me this drama is interesting bc all characters are flawed and are mucking around in the muck, trying to get ahead, but the good guys are dumb and bad guys are fast, but somehow... good guys keep plowing forward. I like that plowing forward. Also, I like 30 min episodes. I am so swamped with an emergency at my house, I dont have time to watch anymore. I didnt watch last 4 days..

I cant wait to see that mine explode when GC discovers he lied... Well that plus the bomb of Lucia's sister exposing her... :( that one wont be fun at all...

SR is mentally ill.... dont hold her to any standards.. .she is somehow ... permanently damaged inside, has no heart at all.... she is a cold blooded KILLER
