A Grand Acting Feast Bestowed By Wang Ying Lu & Zhou Yi Ran

What a drama it was. I have felt a rollercoaster of emotions while watching it. It is one of the rare dramas that could make me emotional. The story is quite dark and emotionally quite heavy to watch, but at the end, the journey was worth it. I cannot even think of any negative points about this drama; it was that good. Zhou Yi Ran and Wang Ying Lu have knocked it out of the park honestly. They were so on par in terms of acting that I can't say who was better than who. It was almost as if both were competing to see who could give a better performance. They had amazing chemistry together. I hope they will get cast together again in other good dramas with good scripts, where they will get to show their acting brilliance. The entire cast was absolutely amazing. The direction, cinematography, ost everything was just perfect. The only regret I felt was not having any scenes of young Ye Hai Tang and Tang Yi Xun living the altered happy future where they are together. Even one scene would have been enough. Nevertheless, it was an absolutely brilliant drama.

A Thought Provoking Dark Crime Thriller About The Struggle And Cost of Justice

This drama started a bit slow but as it moves past that and sets the story, the story gets really heavy. The screenplay was just brilliant. This is probably the smoothest transition between the 3 cases and their timelines I have ever seen in a drama. It managed to maintain its suspense right till the end and kept me hooked throughout the series. The best part of this drama is the ensemble cast, and my god, they were absolutely brilliant. It manages to force the viewers to think about what is the cost of justice. It was a very dark and emotional price of drama. Everyone did a great job. Overall, an absolutely brilliant crime drama and one of the best I have ever watched.

Could Have Been A Great Drama But Became Average Due To Extremely Poor Editing

This drama is certainly not the best one, but it is not bad either. In terms of casting, it was nice to see so many fresh faces, but unfortunately, none of their acting was good enough to make me connect to their characters, except for the main leads. In terms of acting, Zhou Yi Ran and Bao Shang En performed brilliantly. Zhou Yi Ran was too good at playing an unhinged character. He really should do more costume drama. I really hope he will get to do more costume drama now. I really liked Bao Shang En doing a serious role. The leads were perfectly cast. The cinematography was really nice, especially the outdoor scenes and the scenes of the Qingque Sect. The visuals were great. In my opinion, there were significant issues with the editing and pacing. There was also a bit overdose of the FL's aunt in my opinion. I mean, the FL is always quoting her aunt this and that. Nonetheless, I liked that the FL was strong and independent. The storytelling was a bit average in my opinion. The story picked up after episode 10 for me. After that, it went well. The leads had great chemistry. Though it was a happy ending, I did not like it much. I preferred the original ending of the novel. Overall, it was a nice one-time watch for me.

A Nice Lighthearted Drama That Lost It's Way From The Middle

This drama at the beginning felt nice, funny, and quite entertaining to watch. The casting was great. Wang Yinglu surprised me by doing four totally different characters in a year. The initial 20 or so episodes were really nice. The cinematography was nice as well. The music is good. The comic timing was great as well. But from the middle, I felt the story dragged a lot. The most horrible twist was probably the last episode, and I absolutely hated how the writers treated the ML. The main revelation was delayed a lot, and later the story ended abruptly. I felt there was not enough interaction between the 2 leads. It could have been a very nice drama, but instead turned out to be average due to the sloppy 2nd half. Nevertheless, it was a decent one-time watch.

A Great Mysterious Detective Drama With High Dark Vibes

The script was great in my opinion. The cases were actually mysterious and managed to keep me engaged as a viewer. The drama had a dark vibe that it maintained. The cases felt unique and actually creepy to me. Wang Xing Yue was brilliant here. This is not a romance drama, and I loved that it did not focus much on the romance. Those who might look for romance here might be really disappointed. But the relationship portrayed between the characters was natural and nice to watch. The only downside is that it really dragged a bit in terms of episode number. Towards the end, I was really impatient to know who this Yesha was. But still, he really was a formidable villain that I enjoyed watching. I thoroughly enjoyed this drama.

Sweet Special Episode But Not Long Enough

The special episode was a treat for the viewers as it gave a logical ending to the cliffhanger at the last episode of the drama. The special episode was sweet. I would have liked it a bit more if it was a bit more properly edited like the main episode. It felt like it was made up in a hurry. Nevertheless, the drama at least gave us a nice ending. But I would have loved it if it was a bit longer. Overall, it was a lovely watch.

Body Swap Drama Done Right Except The Ending

The body-swapping concept used in this drama was executed by the creatives and cast perfectly. The main thing to look for in this drama is the acting by both leads and the comedy. The little background music really added a charm. The leads acted brilliantly in my opinion. When the swapping happened, it reflected in the body language of both actors. They mimicked each other very convincingly. The comic elements were really refreshing. But the ending dulled the experience quite a bit for my liking. Overall, it was an entertaining watch for me.

A Smartly Done Time Loop Series

Time Loops are quite a bit used concept in dramas. But the creatives of this drama have managed to do it engaging enough for me not to get bored. Though the same things happened again and again, it was done quite smartly. Otherwise, for such a plot, it is very easy to get repetitive. The flow of the story was really good. The cast did a good job. Overall, it was a nice one-time watch short drama for me.

One of The Best Short Thriller Drama of The Year

This drama has everything to become an entertaining & captivating thriller series. The story, though, was about a time loop; it did not feel boring and repetitive at all. The writer did a great job. The story was presented smartly to keep it engaging for the audience (At least I did not feel bored). The cast was nice, but my only complaint is the FL. I did not really like her. I felt the romance angle was unnecessary, and the ML & FL did not have any chemistry. Other than that, this drama was thoroughly enjoyable for me.

A Nice Psychological Thriller Ruined By Poor Characterization of The FL

In terms of story, this drama is brilliant. This drama managed to keep me hooked until the end with its twists. The story is solid except for the poorly written FL. She was overly emotional for my liking. Though at the beginning she was nice, later I felt she just turned into a wallpaper, who was only being treated as the love interest of the ML. I did not like it. Apart from that, the story was brilliant, and Wallace Huo played the role of the complex ML pretty well.

A Poor Attempt To Drag The Episodes

This drama would have been a nice one, only if the episodes were shortened by half. The script did not have enough material for it to be a 40-episode drama. The story was filled with too many fillers, in my opinion. The 2ML managed to draw my attention more than the leads. There were some really funny moments, and I enjoyed those scenes. Though the drama tries to give a nice message about loving beyond one's appearance, it gets forgotten in this draggy mess of fillers. Overall, the premise of the drama was good, but it was ruined by poor execution.

A Visual Feast of Absolutely Artistically Brilliant Cinematography

This drama was such a visual feast. This drama had one of the best cinematographies I have ever watched in a Chinese drama. The director was the star of the drama for me. The cast was really nice. Though I am not much of a fan of the FL's acting, she did a decent job here. The story was great until episode 20, in my opinion. Later, I felt the story slowed down a bit for my liking, but great direction and cinematography made me stay as a viewer. This has one of the most beautiful wedding scenes in the history of Chinese drama, in my opinion. I absolutely loved this drama. This was one of the best dramas of 2024.

A Great Romance Thriller Turned Overwhelming Due To Its Finale

This drama started absolutely brilliantly. There was everything in it from mystery, thrill, romance, and proper relationship development between the ML & FL for me to love this drama. I thoroughly enjoyed the drama until the 11th episode and was utterly disappointed after I watched the last episode. The Argan track felt completely unnecessary to me. The leads had a great understanding between them, so the Argan track did not make any sense (at least not to me). Also, I would have loved to see their proposal and wedding track instead. Though they got a happy ending, I felt something was missing in the last episode. Overall, it was a very nice drama that I loved watching.

Swagger of Song Joong Ki That Drags On A Bit

This K-drama is a lot different compared to what I'm used to watching. The cinematography, acting, and direction were brilliant for me. But the comic part later on felt a bit underwhelming to me. The story could have been wrapped up easily within 16 episodes for me if the creatives had toned down the unnecessary parts. Towards the end, I was quite impatient. Song Joong Ki was the star of the drama for me. I loved his Swaggar. The villains got their proper karma, and as a viewer, I was thoroughly satisfied. Overall, A very nice and classy drama.

A Great Watch

Trigger started strong. The actor playing the villain was the star of the show for me. The concept behind normal people pulling the trigger felt interesting to me. The ending, though, felt a bit illogical, but it was what a drama should promote, obviously. Violence should not be promoted irrespective of logic. The story was tight and thrilling for me. I liked the atmosphere that the drama managed to create. Overall, it was a very nice drama.
